Wintery Thanks

Greetings from a snowy northeast Ohio. Yes, we finally have some snow that's sticking to the ground! It's beautiful! So with these beautiful flakes falling, I was inspired to use DRS Designs new filigree snowflake image to create some thank you cards.

This first  card was pretty quick and easy. The snowflake was stamped with VersaMark ink on black CS, heat embossed with white EP and attached to the white card base. The thank you was stamped with Versafine Black Onyx on white CS, die cut and added to the corner. The black ribbon was added last.

For the next card, I created the background first with TH distress inks. Once the watercolor paper dried, the snowflakes were again stamped with VersaMark ink and then heat embossed with white EP and put together exactly like this first one. I really like the way these two cards turned out.

For my last card, I again created the background with TH distress inks, stamped the snowflakes with VersaMark ink, but this time I embossed them with some iridescent embossing powder. It really sparkles in real like. I layered the panel on some matching CS, added the sentiment and some tiny punched snowflakes and rhinestones.

I like that I used the same 2 stamps on these cards and they look so different. Now to get these thank you cards written and in the mail!!

Be sure to check out this week's Challenge: The weather outside! We'd love to have you play along. You could win this filigree snowflake!!

Thanks for stopping by,

  1. Like the pretty snowflakes with the doily look to them. Daisy my dog likes snow. We had snow in Jan last yr but none so far this yr here in Central TX.
