Tuesday Morning Sketches

DRS Designs is once again the proud sponsor at Tuesday Morning Sketches. I really enjoy sketch challenges, so I had to play along. Here's the sketch for this week.

And here's the card I created.

I stamped the Easter Blessing sentiment first, die cut it and then die cut a mask of the same oval. I attached it to the white panel with removable tape and then stamped the medium daisy in Memento Black ink three times. After removing the mask, the daisies were colored with Copics. A yellow scallop oval was added to the sentiment along with three tiny pink pearls. A yellow bow and ribbon complete the look.

Be sure to check out the challenge. You could be the winner of some new stamps!

Happy Easter

Hi Everyone! Hope you had a great weekend and are ready for the new week. We got more snow yesterday. It was a nice steady all day snow and so very pretty. But it is the first of March so if it decides to warm up some, I won't mind!!

I have been working on Easter cards for the grands and thought I'd share one with you today. It is also perfect for this week's challenge at DRS Designs, "All Ears." If you have been checking the blog lately you will have noticed this adorable bunny image and the fun Easter Peep sentiment. They pair up perfectly and make fabulous Easter cards for children.

I started with a piece of watercolor paper and used green gelatos to watercolor the background. The bunny, sentiment and jelly bean background were all stamped on white CS with Memento Black ink. The bunny and jelly beans were colored with Copics. Everything is layered on orange CS. The sentiment seemed to be lacking something so I added a couple of yellow enamel dots. I kept it pretty flat for easy mailing.

Be sure to check out the challenge here. We'd love to have you play along and you could be winner of some great new stamps.
