Challenge #40 at DRS Designs & Color Challenge at 365 Cards

Hi Everyone. Today I have a simple card created for this week's challenge at DRS Designs to use ghosts or goblins!!

The card base is black card stock stamped with Spooky Eyes Background in Colorbox White. Spencer the not so spooky Ghost was stamped on white card stock, cut out and attached to the base. Some Halloween ribbon was taped to the top and bottom to finish the look!  Come on over to DRS Designs and join in the fun. You could be the winner of some cool spooky stamps this week!!

The challenge at 365 Cards for today is a color challenge. I didn't have quite the exact colors, but I think I'm pretty close!!

The card base is a cream color with green and rust panels that have been embossed with a CB folder. The Birthday Flower Circle was stamped in More Mustard ink on the cream card stock, colored with chalk and cut with nesties, then layered on some more nestie circles. If you have the time, you should come and play along in this challenge too. DRS Designs is the sponsor this week. So that's another chance to win some cool DRS Designs stamps!!

Thanks for stopping by.

Confetti Alert

Today I want to share a card created with a new release from DRS Designs called Confetti Alert.

The image was stamped in Memento Black on white card stock and colored with Copics. I used my nesties to cut some circles and scalloped circles to layer behind the image. The panels were created using the EK Success Swiss Cheese punch. It reminds me of confetti! To finish it off some green, orange and red bakers twine were added to the bottom. This was a quick and easy card to create.

Here's another card I created for Lesley's Merry Monday challenge which I haven't participated in for quite a while.  It's also to complete my monthly card quota for SCS monthly Christmas card challenge.

This card uses DRS Designs recently released Tiny Snowman and Let it Snow sentiment. The tiny  nowmen were stamped in Memento black, colored with copics, punched and layered on blue CS. The white panels were embossed with CB snowflakes and dotted folders. The snowflake panel was created using a MS border punch. The large snowflakes were created using a nestie die.

You can check out all the new stamps at DRS Designs. Be sure to check out the weekly challenges too. You could win some of these new stamps!!

Silhouette Challenge at DRS Designs

This week at DRS Designs we're challenge to use a silhouette image on our card.  I automatically think black and white when I hear the word silhouette. Here's what I came up with.

My card base is black with a nestie label cut in the center. The image Summer's End Tree and sentiment were stamped in Memento Black on white card stock. Some chalk was sponged around the tree for color before attaching it inside the card. Some half pearls were added to the corners and gingham ribbon to the bottom to complete the look.

Come on over to DRS Designs and join in the fun. You could be the winner of some cool stamps!!

Tiny Snowmen Melt Your Heart

Today I have a card featuring DRS Designs Tiny Snowman stamp along with the Melt your heart sign. I love snowmen and these two make a cute pair.

The card base is cranberry card stock stamped with the Large Filigree Snowflake in Versafine Watermark ink. A white panel was added after punching a border with a MS snowflake punch. A panel of cranberry was added to the white after stamping the Tiny Snowman image all over with Versafine Watermark. A white ribbon was added before attaching the panel to the card base. I used my nestie snowflakes, a cranberry heart and the tiny snowman stamped on white CS, colored with copics, and fussy cut to make the medallion. The Melt Your Heart sign was stamped in Memento, colored with copics, fussy cut and attached to the card base. I glued a few of the white snowflakes left from the border punch to finish off the card.

Balloon Challenge

Today's challenge at DRS Designs is to use balloon on your card. Nothing says birthday party to me more than balloons, so I've created a birthday card. My card base is yellow with a layer of white cardstock that's been embossed with the CB Birthday folder. The balloons were stamped in Versafine Watermark ink on red, blue, green and yellow card stock, embossed with clear embossing powder and then cut out. Bakers twine was attached to the back of each balloon, then tied together and the balloons were place on the card with foam. The sentiment was stamped in Stazon Black on white card stock, cut with a nestie, layered on yellow and attached to the card front. Happy birthday was stamped on the yellow balloon with Stazon Black ink after embossing.

Hope you'll have some time to come play along in this week's challenge at DRS Designs.

Until next time,

Holiday Hurricane Lamp

My card today features the recently released Holiday Hurricane Lamp. It is stamped on Vellum and colored with Copics. The card base is white and the vellum is attached to the white base. A nesties label was cut from a piece of Real Red CS, then the CS was run through the CB with a snowflake embossing folder. A white border was cut with nesties and attached to the red panel. A white satin ribbon and bow were added to the red panel before it was attached to card front.

Wheels Challenge

This week we are to use wheels on our cards for the DRS Designs' challenge. I went with this cute Lawn Mower and funny sentiment! I'll send this card to my brother. He'll get a kick out of it!

The lawn mower image is stamped in Memento black on white card stock, colored with copics, sponged with various inks, cut with an oval nestie and then layered on some green Bazzil. The sunny background was created by sponging YoYo Yellow onto white card stock, then layered on the green Bazzil card base. Some lighter green strips were punched with the Fiskars grass punch. They were attached to the card base after some yellow bakers twine was tied on. The sentiment was stamped in Memento black on white cs, cut out, layered on green and attached to the card front.

Hope you can come play along in this week's challenge at DRS Designs!

Happy First Monday in August!

I love everything about Christmas, especially the true meaning of Christmas, Christ's birth. This card features DRS Designs' new Adore Him Greeting paired with an older stamp Holy Family Manger Scene. My card base is beige card stock. The main image and the greeting are both stamped in Versafine on the same beige CS, embossed with bronze embossing powder, cut with nesties and layered on some bronze colored CS. I added a strip of the bronze with some mesh ribbon to the card base before attaching the two circles. This was a fairly quick and easy card to create and I love the simplicity of it.

DRS Designs Weekly Challenge

This week we are challenged to use dogs on our cards for DRS Designs. My husband and I have a dog. She's a rescue pup - part pit bull and part boxer. She's the sweetest pup and we just love her! For this week's challenge I made this in honor of her. She loves to play with other dogs (and people for that matter). This Playful Pups image reminds me of her so much!!

My image was stamped with Memento Black on white card stock. I added more grass with DRS Designs easy grass background stamp. After coloring the puppies with copics, some green  and yellow inks were sponges around the grassy area and blue in the sky. The card base is white with a layer of Bazzil golden yellow CS. The image panel is attached to this layer. Nesties were used to cut the center of the green Bazzil layer before attaching it to the card base. Some yellow dew drops were added to the corners. The sentiment Happy Tails was stamped in black, cut into a banner, sponged with Archival Straw Mat ink then attached with pop dots.

Hope you can join in the fun at DRS Designs this week. We'd love to see what you create using dogs!

Until next time,
