Rainbow Birthday

Hello Everyone. Hope you had a great weekend. I have a super easy card to share with you today. I've been playing with Distress Oxide Inks a lot lately. I really like the blended looks you can get with them. I stamped the Interlocking Circle background image with VersaMark ink onto some white CS, heat embossed with white EP and then sponged on some Oxide inks ink rainbow colors, but not in the rainbow order. The Happy Birthday, part of the Birthday Multi Greeting was stamped with the same Distress inks. I used my Misti to keep the greeting straight. I added one ink at a time, wiping away some each time to give a more blended look. I like the fun and playful look of this birthday card.

Thanks for stopping by today. Have fun stamping and creating!! There's a deal at DRS Designs' on line store. Free shipping on orders over $50. You can check out details here.

Encouragement

Hi Everyone. Hope you had a great weekend. We had a hot weekend, but I'm happy to say some cooler weather has arrived today! I've got all the windows open today. I love the fresh air!

My cards today are encouragement cards. I have a friend who's going through a rough spot and I wanted to make a card for her. I came up with two. Not sure yet which one I'll send to her. I began with a piece of white CS, sponged on various colors of TH Distress Oxide Inks and then cut the panel into two pieces to use on my cards. The first one was cut with a FL stitched border die and the second one is just a straight piece layered onto black CS. Next I stamped the sentiments, added some clear sequins and that's it.

The sentiment can be found here.

Merry Christmas

Happy Monday! Hope you had a great weekend! I have a Christmas card to share with you today. Fellow DT Member Robin inspired me to get started on my Christmas cards when she shared some beautiful Christmas cards last week. I usually work on Christmas cards throughout the year, but this year I have not! So I am happy to say I've got one Christmas card completed for this year.  Which means I have a ways to go, but at least it's a start!!  Here's my card.

I started by stamping the Christmas Hurricane Lamp onto white CS with Memento Black ink, colored it with Copics, added some Clear Wink of Stella to the bow and Nuvo Blizzard white drops to the berries and flame. The Merry Christmas Arc greeting was stamped with black ink and then I die cut the panel with a stitched rectangle die and glued the panel onto the cranberry card. Easy peasy!

So why didn't I created a few more of these and add them to my Christmas stash?!! I really don't know. I do like the look of this so maybe I'll find some time this week to create a few more. How about you? Have you started creating your Christmas cards yet?  DRS Designs has lots of beautiful Christmas images to help you get started. You can see them here.  If you need some inspiration, you can check out some of the beautiful Christmas cards created by the Design Team here.

Splish Splash

Happy Monday! Hope you had a great weekend and are ready for an awesome week. My card today features the two little fish from the new 4 in 1 Ocean designs. I really like these two little fishes.

I'm not sure why, but I wanted to use this collage frame with the fish, so I die cut the frame, glued it and all the pieces onto white CS and then applied a few shades of blue Distress Oxide inks to create the water. I splattered a little bit of water onto the panel for some texture. While the panel dried I stamped, colored and fussy cut the fish. I placed the fish were I wanted them and stamped the bubbles image with the same distress inks. The greenery and coral were die cut with a couple of SB dies. I glued the greenery and coral onto the panel after stamping the greeting with VersaMark ink and heat embossing with white EP.  Next I added several layers of the collage frame that were die cut in white. Once the frame was glued on, I glued on the littlest fish and attached the larger ones with foam dots. I decided the coral needed something so I added clear Nuvo drops to give it some dimension.
Last I glued it all to the white card base. I like how this fun little scene turned out. Makes me want to go visit and aquarium!!

Thanks for stopping by today and have fun getting creative this week!

Let Freedom Ring!

Happy Monday everyone. And for those of you in the United States, Happy Fourth of July Week! With that in mind I have a couple of quick and easy patriotic cards to share with you today. I am really liking DRS Designs' new Stars and Stripes Border image. I used it on both of todays' cards.

For the first card I stamped the new border image on the top and bottom of my panel with Versfine Majestic Blue ink, then the greeting was stamped with Hero Arts Red ink. I die cut some stars out of red CS using a Darice die set and then some out of glitter white CS and added them to complete the look.

For the second card I stamped the border image on the top only with the same blue ink. The star wreath was stamped with Memento Black ink, colored with some Copics and then some Sakura Gelly Roll pen was added for some sparkle. The new Made in the USA circle was stamped with Majestic Blue ink onto white CS, die cut and add to a red circle. The support ribbon was stamped with Memento Black ink onto white CS, colored with Copics, fussy cut and glued onto the panel. I added some sparkle with the Sakura Gelly Roll pen too.

Hope you have a fantastic week!
