Up up and away!

Hope you all had a great weekend and were able to spend some time creating! DRS Designs is releasing new stamps and you are going to love them! My card today features two of the new stamps: World Map (572P) and Hot Air Balloon (583F).

I started by stamping the world map image with TH Brushed Corduroy ink on beige CS and fussy cut the map. The hot air balloon was stamped on white CS, colored with Copics and fussy cut. The sentiment is part of graduation greeting. Everything is attached to the blue panel that was embossed with a small arrow die first. Baker's twine and a button complete the look.

Be sure to check out the new stamps at DRS Designs.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Happy Fall Y'all

This time of the year is my favorite. I really enjoy the cooler weather, the changing color of the leaves, and everything pumpkin!  My card today is in honor of this fabulous season.

The fall fence scene was stamped with Memento Black ink on white CS, colored with Copics and die cut after sponging in the sky and grassy area. Nesties were used to cut the layers. The sentiment was stamped with black ink and the little acorns were stamped on white CS, colored with Copics and fussy cut. They are attached to the card with foam dots.

This card also works for this week's color challenge. You still have time to join in the fun. Details can be seen here.

Fall Birthdays

My card today is a quick and easy one. I will be needing several birthday cards this month and  thought fall leaves would be appropriate. I've been playing around with these images and this layout is the one I like the best.

The leaves were stamped in Pumpkin Pie, More Mustard and Cranberry Crisp inks. The out line leaf was stamped with Old Olive as was the sentiment. Once the inks dried, I used a SB die to cut and emboss the bottom edge. The white panel is layered on pumpkin and then Old Olive CS before attaching everything to the white card base. A quick and easy card to create that's flat and mails easily.

Be sure to check out this week's challenge. We'd love to have you play along with us.

BOO!

Can you believe it is October already? I feel like September just started!  I guess it's time to get serious about all the fall cards I'll be needing soon. So with that in min, here are some Halloween cards I created for my grandkids. They are quite young so my cards are more on the cute side than the scary side.

The orange dp was stamped with the empty spider web or splatter background in black ink. One edge of the black panel was punched with a Fiskars spider web border before adding the orange panel. A black and orange ribbon was attached and then everything was added to the white card base which was stamped with the sentiment in black ink. The letters were cut with my Cricut and glued into place. Finally the large googlie eyes were added. I like the way these turned out and I think my grands will too.

Heavy Metal

It's Thursday and that means another great challenge from DRS Designs. This week the challenge is Heavy Metal. You must use metal on your card somewhere. There are so many ways to use metal on a card, though I did go with the most common way, I think:  a brad. I needed a thank you card for friends who watched our dog while we were away recently. Here's what I created for them.

I started by stamping the doggy dilemma with Memento black ink on white CS. After coloring it with Copics, I die cut it and layered it on a brown die cut piece. The white panel was embossed with a paw embossing folder and layered on the same brown CS. Some paw ribbon was added before attaching the panel to the card base. The sentiment was stamped in black ink, die cut and sponged with brown ink before adding the dog bone die.

I hope you can find some time to join in the challenge. You could be the winner of some amazing stamps! You can see details here.
