Give Thanks!

Happy Monday Everyone,

My card today features the new floor image (360P). It is easy to use and lines up perfectly with the brick wall image. I started with a piece of Water Color paper, stamped the floor and brick wall with Archival Jet Black ink using my Misti to line them up straight. The floor was colored using TH Distress Oxide Vintage Photo ink. Some Post it tape was used to mask off the brink wall while I sponged on the distress ink. Once it dried, I masked off the floor and sponged on TH Distress Oxide Fired Brick ink for the wall. After all the ink was dry I used a white colored pencil to color in between the bricks to give the wall more depth.

The bountiful basket was stamped onto white CS with Memento black ink, colored with Copics and fussy cut. I attached the image with foam adhesive. The new give thanks greeting (345D) was stamped with Versafine Black ink and die cut with a SB banner die.

On the inside the Grateful Heart greeting was stamped with Versafine Black ink. The new filigree pumpkin was stamped over the greeting with Spiced Marmalade ink, stamping off onto scratch paper once.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Pumpkin Patch

My card today is for this week's sketch challenge at TMS. It's a great sketch and I'm so glad I was able to play along. Here's the sketch:

And here's my card:

I started by stamping the Pumpkin Patch image from DRS Designs onto white CS with Memento Black ink, colored it with Copics and die cut with a SB circle die. Nest I die cut two smaller circles from orange CS, embossed them with a CB pumpkin swirl EF. The kraft layer was embossed with the CB swirls EF. Once everything was attached to the white case base, I added the button with yellow baker's twine in place of the flower in the sketch. I really like how this turned out.

Thanks TMS for another fun sketch design!

And thanks for stopping by!

Pumpkin Spce - It's that time of the year!

Hi Everyone,

My card today features one of my very favorite fall things - Pumpkin Spice Coffee!! There's just something warm and calming about pumpkin spice coffee. I think I may have to go make a cup once I get this post completed!!

I started by stamping the Pumpkin Spice greeting (846E) onto cream CS with Archival Jet Black ink, then die cut it with a stitched oval die. Once I die cut all the parts of the coffee cup, I stamped the coffee cup with the Splatter Background image using VersaMark ink. The little pumpkin and tiny leaves are some epoxy stickers I've had forever. The oval die and coffee cup dies are all from ODBD. The rust frame was die cut with a SB die.

Here's a look at the inside:

The new Goodbye summer greeting (350F) was stamped with Archival Jet black ink and the pumpkins were stamped with TH Spiced Marmalade ink.

Thanks for stopping by today. Be sure to check all the new fall images from DRS Designs here.

Tuesday Morning Sketch

My card today is for this week's sketch challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches. DRS Designs is the sponsor for this week's sketch, so I really wanted to play along!  Here's the sketch:

I turned the sketch sideways since it fit with my image and sentiment better. The Filigree Pumpkin (334G) and the Happy Thanksgiving Greeting (339F) are both brand new stamps from DRS Designs and will be released in just a couple of days. You can check them out at the DRS Designs on line store.

To create my card, I started with some water color paper and stamped the pumpkin with TH Distress Oxide Spiced Marmalade ink and the greeting with Archival Jet Black ink. The panel was die cut with a SB die and layered onto some orange CS. I used the same water color paper for the next panel and layered it onto the same orange CS. The pumpkin ribbon has been in my stash forever. I have no idea where it came from, but I thought it went perfectly with this image and sketch design. I did use some foam adhesive to attach the smaller panel for some dimension.

I hope you can join in the fun at TMS this week!

Drop in!!

Hi Everyone,

I have one last Halloween card to share with you before getting started on Fall and Thanksgiving cards. Today's card is pretty simple. I stamped the card front with wood grain background image with light brown ink, then die cut the window using a MFT die. The greeting was stamped with Versafine Onyx ink above the wimdow. The witch's broom was stamped onto white CS, colored with Copics and fussy cut. I used some foam adhesive to attach it to the card front. The little black cat is a die cut from IO, I think. Here's a look at the inside.

The empty spider web and vertical greeting were both stamped with black ink. A Recollections spider was added to the web.

Thanks for stopping by today. Be sure to check back soon to see some new images DRS Designs will soon be releasing. Also right now with every purchase of $25, you receive a free DRS Designs' Catalog. Be sure to check out the web page for details.

Blessings,

Happy Haunting

Hello Everyone,

For those of you in the United States, Happy Labor Day. Hope you are able to enjoy the holiday and maybe even find some time to get creative. The weather here in NW Ohio has turned cooler and that definitely puts me in the mood for fall and everything that goes with it, including creating some Halloween cards.

So I have another Halloween card to share with you today that features the new Happy Haunting greeting along with the little goblin and witch's feet images.. To begin I die cut the black frame using a MFT Collage die. I laid the frame onto the cream CS and used a pencil to draw in the areas where the images would go. Once everything was stamped and colored with Copics, I glued on the black collage frame and then some googlie eyes were added to the little goblins.

Thanks for stopping by today!
