Joy to the World!

Here's a card I made using DRS Designs new Snowflake Circle Cut Out (827L). I got this idea from Chrissy, another DRS designer. She made a card like this earlier this week and I have totally cased her card. We used our nesties to cut the stamped image into a wreath!  I just love the result.

I added red nail heads to the wreath and a punched bow. The sentiment is another DRS stamp (864E) which I also used nesties to cut and layer. The background panel is edged with a star border punch. This was a fairly quick and easy card to create and as I said before, I love the result!! Thanks Chrissy for the inspiration!!

Happy Stamping,

Telescoping Image Challenge

Happy Wednesday! Here's a card I created for the Technique Lover's Challenge on SCS. It's a telescoping image technique.

I stamped my image twice and colored both with Copic markers. I then cut them out using the two larger square dies with the two smaller dies inside each square. This way I only had to color two images for four layers! After assembling the background, I just attached each square with foam dots for dimension.

I really like the result!! All stamps are DRS Designs:  Girl Swirl Holly (G887) and Happy "Holly" Days (B888). The background is embossed with the Cuttlebug Snowflake folder. I added the striped ribbon and bow and then some scoring lines at the top and bottom to complete the look.

Until next time, shelia
