Dreams

Happy Monday Everyone. Trust you had a great weekend and found some time to get inky. I don't know about you, but it is so relaxing and soothing for me to create cards, especially cards for a specific person or reason. I love sharing my cards with family and friends.

Today I have another grad card. It is getting to that time of year!  This one uses the new Grad Hat Hooray image as well as the new Dreams Inspire Greeting which is perfect for grad cards.

I started with the yellow card base. Stamped the Grad Hat Hooray onto the white panel with Versafine Black ink. The new greeting is also stamped with Versafine Black ink. Both panels are layered onto black CS before adding them to the yellow. To comeplete the look I die cut a grad hat with a yellow tassel and the diploma with a yellow seal. A pretty quick and easy card.

Hats Off

Greetings Everyone. Trust you had a wonderful Easter weekend. We were able to spend the weekend celebrating with family which is always special. Today I have a grad card to share with you. It features two new images Hats Off Grad Greeting and Grad Hat Hooray. I enjoy making graduation cards, especially when I know the school colors and can use those colors to personalize the card.

I started with a piece of white CS, stamped the Grad Hat Hooray image for my background, then die cut a circle from the center. I die cut a black frame for the panel too. After gluing these two pieces onto the red card base, I used the next smaller circle die to cut out the red card base leaving a red border as a frame. The new greeting was stamped on the inside so it shows through. The grad cap was created with an IO mini die set.

Love, Joy and Happiness Always

Hi Everyone. Hope you had a wonderful weekend. I'm excited to share a new image with you from DRS Designs. It's called the Wooden Frame Collection. It has so much potential. I think you're going to love it!

For my card today I stamped the Wooden Frame Collection onto white CS, masked off the frames and stamped the images and greetings and then colored them with Copics. Once that was done I decided I wanted to pop them up on the card, so I fussy cut them and added them to the panel after stamping the wooden background image. To make sure I got the placement just right, I stamped the Wooden Frame Collection onto the card front too.

Tweetie Bird

Happy Monday Everyone. Hope you had a great weekend! We had some fabulous weather, lots of sunshine and warmth. Maybe Spring is really here!

I have a couple of cards to share with you today that feature the recently released Silly Bird image. He's a lot of fun to stamp and color. For my first card I die cut the collage frame out of white and teal CS. I used the white cut out pieces to stamp my images and then put them back into the teal frame. I somehow managed to get black ink on the bird's eyes so I added some googlie eyes to cover it up.

On this next card I popped the Silly Bird up with an Action Wobble Spring.

Pop Up Shadow Boxes

Happy Monday Everyone. I don't know about you, but I'm freezing cold right now. After several days of sunshine and warmer temps, we got blasted Saturday night with bitter cold and snow!! Not a lot of snow, but enough to cover the ground and make the temps drop. I know this won't last long so I'm hanging on to that thought. To help make me feel warmer, I decided to create some Easter cards for my grands. A couple of weeks ago I shared a pop up shadow box and mentioned that I wanted to do that type of card for my grands. The idea for these came from a Jennifer McGuire post which you can see here. These cards are easy and fun to make. Plus they fold flat and fit into a standard envelop.

Here are my cards.

This first one is for my almost 13 year old grandson. I think he might be getting too big for an Easter bunny card. Though I'm certain he's looking forward to an Easter Basket full of goodies!!  For this card I used the following stamps:

I felt like this card needed a little something extra so I die cut a layering butterfly and added it.
