Up, Up and Away!

Hi Everyone,

I have a simple card today that features a hot air balloon along with a couple of tiny hot air balloons.

I started with a piece of white CS and sponged on some SU Bashful Blue ink with a homemade cloud border to create the sky. Once that dried I stamped the greeting and two tiny balloons. The larger balloon was stamped onto white CS, colored with Altenew Artist Markers, fussy cut and added to the panel with an Action Wobbler. Here's a picture from the side so you can see the dimension. I think these action wobblers are fun to use on cards. It's such a surprise when the recipient opens the card.

It's All in the Accessories!

Hi Everyone,

I have a fun card today that was inspired by the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast Stampers that uses the sketch from this week's Sketch Challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches.

The Inspiration Challenge took us to a fun site, Fudge and Mabel that has lots of felted animals. I was inspired by this cute giraffe. Here's the classic sketch from TMS:



And here's my card.

I stamped the adorable animal images from DRS Designs (monkey, pig, giraffe) onto white CS, colored them with Copics and then die cut them with a SB Circle die. I stamped the sunglasses, bow and ball cap from the 4 in 1 Fashion Accessories, colored and fussy cut them and then glued them onto my critters. I stamped the Accessories greeting with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with white powder before embossing the panel with an EF from my stash. I added some sparkle to the hair bow with a Sakura Gelly Roll pen. The sunglasses have some clear Nuvo drops added to the lenses. I really like how this turned out. You can't go wrong with such cute animals and a classic sketch design!

Happy Monday! Hope your week has gotten off to a great start!  Today I thought I'd share a card that hopefully brings you a smile! I definitely smiled while creating it! I've been having lots of fun creating with the new 4 in 1 Fashion Accessories image (927D). Today features the monkey image with some of the accessories.

I had one piece of the reinker background left, so I die cut it with a Fawn Lawn stitched rectangle die and glued it onto the white card base. The monkeys and accessories were stamped onto white CS, colored with Copics and fussy cut. Once they were glued into place on the card, I added the accessories along with some clear Nuvo drops on the sun glasses and some Nuvo Glitter drops on the strip on her bag. The sentiment was stamped with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with detail white EP. I used  Concord and 9th dies to cut of the leaves on the side.

My next card uses the new Leonard Flying a Kite image (903G). The sketch design for this card was one used a couple of weeks ago on Splitcoast Stampers.

Leonard was stamped onto white CS, colored with Copics and die cut with a SB circle die. The kite from the 4 in 1 In the Sky image (952D) along with the sunglasses and bow from the 4 in 1 Accessories image (927D) were also stamped onto white CS, colored with Copics and fussy cut. After die cutting the larger stitched circle I used a punched cloud as a guide and sponged on TH Tumbled Glass ink to create the cloudy sky. I glued the larger kite and then drew in the string with a black pen. The new Missing You Pig Time greeting(904D) was stamped onto white CS, die cut and added with foam adhesive. Some white and orange Nuvo drops were added around the elements.

It's All in the Accessories!

Hi Everyone. Hope you had a wonderful weekend and found some time to get creative! I have a couple of cards to share with you today using some of the new images from DRS Designs. My first card features the new Leonard the Pig (903G) flying a kite. Leonard is a fun image, super cute and easy to color. Today I added a ball cap and bow tie from the new 4 in 1 Fashion Accessories (927D).

The background for this card was created using baby wipes and reinkers. It's easy to do and I really like the look. I stamped Leonard and the birds from the 4 in 1 In the Sky stamp onto the card with black ink and heat embossed with clear EP. The bird was colored in with a white gel pen. I stamped Leonard again onto white CS as well as the kite from the 4 in 1 In the Sky stamp, colored them with Copics and fussy cut. Both are glued onto the card front and then I added the ballcap with a foam square and glued on his bow tie. The new Missing you Pig Time greeting (904D) was stamped with black ink onto white CS, die cut and added with foam squares.

I had so much fun adding the bow tie and hat to Leonard I decided to see what other images I had that I could use. Here's one I came up with.

I stamped the elephant, bow, shades and bag (927D) with Memento Black ink onto white CS, colored them with Copics and fussy cut. After gluing the elephant onto the background I added the bow, shades and bag. The bow has some clear Wink of Stella on it and the shades have some clear Nuvo drops. I added Blizzard white Nuvo drops to the pink stripe on her bag and to her nails. I stamped the greeting onto the pink CS, die cut and layered it onto black CS. The same Blizzard Nuvo drops were added to the greeting. Everything was added to the pink panel that was embossed with a flourish folder.

After stamping the greeting I stamped with bow, shades and bag on the inside and colored them and added Nuvo drops once more.

I'm still looking through my stamps to see what other critter images I have that I can dress up with these new accessories. This is just too fun!!
