Birthday Balloons & Merry Monday Challenge #18
Trust everyone had a great weekend! Today I want to share a birthday card that features balloons. I think balloons are so festive and perfect for birthdays!
The card base is green CS with a layer of yellow and then the white panel that's embossed with the CB Birthday folder. I added a strip of green CS and then attached the fancy label that's been stamped with DRS Designs Birthday Wishes (020B) and then sponged with SU Handsome Hunter ink. The Birthday balloons (491E) were stamped on white CS with Handsome Hunter, Not Quite Navy, Real Red, Yoyo Yellow and Pumpkin Pie ink, heat embossed with clear EP, then cut out and popped up to give some dimension.
For Lesley's Merry Monday Challenge, I used the telescoping technique for my Girl Swirl Holly image (887G). The image was stamped 4 times on white CS, colored with Copics and cut with Nesties, then layered from largest to smallest. The sentiment "Happy Holly Days" (888B) was also stamped on white CS and cut with nesties.
If you want to get a head start on Christmas cards, check out Lesley's blog "Always Playing with Paper" for the weekly challenge!

DRS Designs Weekly Challenge - Get Well
Every week DRS Designs sponsors a challenge, usually a theme challenge. This week's theme is Get Well Cards. Check out DRS Designs blog and join in the fun. You could be the winner of some cute DRS Designs Stamps!!
Here's the Get Well Card I created for this week's challenge.
The card base is Pretty in Pink with a layer of Certainly Celery. On top of that is a white panel that was embossed with a Dreamweaver embossing plate. It doesn't should up too well in the photo, but looks nice in real life. :-) I stamped my bear (DRS Designs 931G) in Memento Black ink on white card stock. After coloring him with Copics, I cut him out, layered him on a square of Certainly Celery that's layered on a square of Pretty in Pink. The sentiment (DRS Designs 1097E) was stamped in Memento Black ink on white card stock and layered on the pink and then the green. I added some punched flowers and leaves in the corners to complete the card. Hope you like it.

Butterflies
Today I want so share a card that features butterflies. I love butterflies!
I started with a 5 x 10 in. piece of yellow card stock that was folded to make a 5 in square card. I added a small strip of green card stock down the middle of the yellow card. On top I added a lavender square that was stamped with DRS Designs butterflies (917H) in Versacolor Lavender. This square was also punched on two sides with a MS butterfly border punch. On top of the lavender square is tied a sheer yellow ribbon. Then I added a green fanciful flourish. The main image is DRS Designs Leaf Butterfly Spray (1098M) which was stamped with Memento Black ink on white card stock and then colored with copics. I stamped the image again and colored the larger butterfly with the same copics, then cut it out and attached it with foam adhesive to give some dimension and the illusion of fluttering wings.
The main image was layered on a yellow nestie and then attached to the lavender square. Hope you like it!

Christmas
Here's a card I made using the Merry Monday Challenge sketch for this week. Check out Lesley's blog "Always Playing with Paper" for more details.
The card base is royal blue with a layer of DCWV dp. I attached the smaller panels and then DRS Designs large Snowman (001L) after cutting him out and coloring him with copics. I added some diamond stickles to his face and used a paintbrush to cover the entire face with a thin layer. To finish it off I added two snowflake brads.
I'm getting quite a head start on my Christmas cards! Yeah!!
Until next time,

This is a Christmas Card I made using Lesley's Merry Monday Sketch Challenge at "Always Playing with Paper."
I stamped DRS Designs "Merry Christmoose" (834L) on white card stock with Memento Black ink and then colored it with copics. I added some white flower soft to the Moose's hat. :-) After cutting the image with a round nestie, I layered it on a red eyelet pendant made with a Spellbinders die. The dp is from Hobby Lobby. I added a couple of border punched layers and a sparkly green ribbon to finish it off.
If you want to get a head start on those Christmas Cards, check out Lesley's blog and join the weekly Monday challenge.
Today I also made a birthday card. DRS Designs has a great birthday sentiment for anyone who enjoys golfing. I made this card for my son.
The card base is SU Kraft. The DRS Designs Golfer (457L) was stamped with Memento Black ink on white card stock. After coloring him with Copics, I sponged some SU Bashful Blue around for the sky. He is layered on some Kraft CS and then some Blue CS and then attached to the card. I stamped the tiny Happy Birthday sentiment (1081A), also from DRS Designs in Black on white CS, cut it with the smallest nestie circle die and layered it on a slightly bigger blue circle.
The sentiment DRS Designs (507G) was stamped in Memento Black on white CS and cut into strips which were layered on the same blue CS. These were attached above the golfer. This card is based on Splitcoast Stampers Sketch Challenge for this week. It's a great sketch!
I embossed some lines across the upper right hand corner just so it wouldn't look quite so plain. It doesn't really show up in the photo, but looks pretty good in real life!
Hope you like the cards. Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Birthday Daisies
Happy Monday Everyone! Don't you just love daisies? I think they are such fun flowers. Today I want to share a card I made for a friend who's birthday is coming up soon. It uses DRS Designs Basket of Daisies (671L) and Happy Birthday (250B).
This Basket of Daisies is so cute and versatile. You can color the daisies any color you wish! I went with yellow with pale orange centers and then I added some clear stickles for some sparkle. The card base is yellow. I added a white panel after running it through the CB Damask folder. The image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with copics. After cutting the panel in a square, I punched the corners with SU ticket corner punch and layered it on a yellow square that was also punched. The sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on yellow CS and cut with a Spellbinders Fancy Tag die. A sheer and sparkly yellow bow was added to the top of the basket to finish it off.
Hope you like you.
