Today my card features DRS Designs' new Designer quilt square and the special sentiment
that goes so well with it. There are endless possibilities with this
new quilt square. To go with a fall theme I've colored my quilt with
yellow, rust, orange and green.
After
stamping the squares in Memento black ink and coloring them with
Copics, I fussy cut them, glued them on the So Saffron CS that was
punched with a MS border punch and then embossed it with the CB swirls
folder. The sentiment was stamped and die cut. The faux stitching was
added while it was still in the die. Some ribbon and a layer of rust CS
complete the look.

So thankful
I created this card for DRS Designs So Thankful challenge.
The Fall Fence (176M) was stamped, colored with Copics, and layered on a dark orange layer of CS. The Giving Thanks Greeting (160H) was stamped and layered on the same CS. The leafy ribbon was added to the layers of pumpkin and rust CS before attaching it to the orange card base. To balance things out a bit, I added a small piece of the leafy ribbon below the main image.
Hope you can find some time to join in this week's challenge!

Autumn Greetings
Fall is such a fun time of the year. I love seeing the beauty of the
leaves changing colors and going for walks in the cooler temperatures!!
My card today celebrates fall.
I began by stamping the lady scarecrow in Memento Black ink on white CS, coloring her with Copics and die cutting her with some nesties. She's layered on some die cut Bravo Burgundy CS. The background was created by stamping the bottom of the So Saffron layer with the new Silhouette Corn Stalk in VersaMark ink, then I embossed the top of the panel with the CB swirls folder. The strip of Bravo Burgundy was punched with a border and then the ribbon was added. A leaf button and some baker's twine were added to the ribbon. The Autumn Greetings was stamped with black ink and die cut with the same type of nesties to complete the card. Hope you like it. I think this scarecrow is so cute and can be colored to match whatever paper/design you're going with!

Indian Corn
Happy Monday Everyone! Hope you all had a nice relaxing weekend and
were able to find some time to get creative!! I've been having fun
working with the newly released stamps from DRS Designs. They are great
for fall and Thanksgiving cards. Today I have one that features the new Indian Corn image and Thank You Lord Greeting.
I started by stamping and coloring the Indian Corn image with Memento Black ink and my copics. Next I fussy cut it out. The greeting was stamped on cream CS with Memento Black ink and die cut. I used a Memento Black pen to added the faux stitching while it was still in the die. The pumpkin layer was embossed with the CB pumpkin swirls folder. I added the green ribbon before attaching the corn with some pop dots. The large gems finish it off.

Birthday Wishes
The challenge at DRS Designs this week is "I'm Hungry." I decided to create a birthday card for my niece using our sweet cupcake. A cupcake sounds good right about now too!!
My niece's favorite color is purple so I started by stamping the cupcake in Memento Black ink, coloring it with Copics being sure to use some purple for the cupcake paper, then fussy cut it out. I used the sentiment from the Birthday Candles Burst image. Every thing was die cut with the SB Divine Eloquence Card Maker. The cupcake is popped up with some foam squares and a piece of light purple ribbon complete the look.
There's plenty of time to join in this challenge. We'd love to have to play along!

Send A Smile 4 Kids
Happy Monday Everyone. DRS Designs is once again the proud sponsor for this week's challenge at Send a Smile for Kids to create an Early Holiday Wishes for Kids. Here's the card I created.
I really like this Santa and snowman image - it's so festive and fun to color. I started by stamping the image on white CS with Memento Black ink, colored it with Copics and then fussy cut it out. The background was created by stamping the Interlocking Snowflakes background stamp in VersaMark ink on white CS, heat embossed with clear EP and then added 3 shades of blue gelatos and blended them together with a baby wipe. Once that dried it was mounted on the red CS and the punched strip was added along with the red baker's twine. The sentiment was stamped in black ink, die cut and the edges sponged with Real Red ink. The main image is popped up with foam dots.
You have until October 17th to participate in this challenge. The winner receives a $10 gift voucher for DRS Designs' stamps. You can also join in this week's challenge at DRS to use twine on your card. So you could have 2 chances to win some great stamps from DRS Designs. Hope you can find some time to play along.

Falling Leaves
DRS Designs is about to release some new stamps. Today I have a sneak peak at one of the new fall sentiments. We have lots of oak trees in our yard and have tons and tons of leaves to rake each autumn, so this sentiment rings rather true around here! This week's challenge is to use twine.
The first thing I did to create this card was work on the leaves. I used some water color paper and gelatos to cover the paper in red, yellow, orange and even a little green. Once that dried I stamped the oak leaf in Memento Rich Cocoa ink and fussy cut them out. The Autumn is Calling sentiment(150F) was stamped in the same cocoa ink on cream CS and die cut. I die cut the brown CS and layered the two together after adding the twine and leaves to the panel. Everything is attached to the cream card base.
You can see details about this week's challenge here.
