There's another wonderful sketch challenge at Splitcoast Stampers today. I think the sketch challenges are my favorite challenges at SCS. Here's my card for today's challenge.
We are celebrating my dad's 80th birthday next week while everyone is together in VA for Christmas. Green is his favorite color and he loves cupcakes, so I think he'll like this.
The cupcake stamp is from the dollar bin at Michael's. The Happy Birthday stamp is DRS Designs (250B). I stamped the cupcake on white CS, colored the cake, icing and candle with Copics and then paper pieced the cupcake liner with some DP. I added stickles to the candle's star flame for some sparkle. The dp is from Hobby Lobby's paper studio and I found the cupcake border punch on clearance at HB too. Gotta love those sales!
Well I have Christmas cookies to bake today and some shopping, so I'd better get going.
Until next time,

December Birthdays
I hate to say it, but I'm getting tired of making Christmas cards. I never thought I'd hear myself say that!! I still need to make a few more, but today I took a break and decided to make a birthday card for one of my sisters in law, whose birthday is next week!
DRS Designs has some really cute snowmen stamps and I really like this lovely snow lady. This card is also for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast Stampers.
I stamped the snowflake flurries (168F) in SU Mellow Moss ink on the green cardstock for the background of my card. After coloring and cutting out my snow lady (163L), I added the pink strip with the sentiment (964D) to compliment the colors in my image. The snow lady is popped up with adhesive for some dimension. I added some half pearls to the snow ladies hat and to the side of the card.
Until next time,

Come Join the Challenge!
Happy December 1st! Can you believe it is December? Christmas will soon be here. YEAH!! I love Christmas.
Today over at DRS Designs we have a challenge for you to join. Every Thursday there will be a new challenge and there's a prize of new DRS Stamps for one lucky winner!! This week's challenge is stitching, either for real or faux. I chose faux stitching for my card.
The DRS stamps I used are Girl Swirl Holly (887G) and Merry Christmas (364B). I did my faux stitching in red around the holly image, popped it up on green CS that I edged with a punch and added some holly ribbon I found at Hobby Lobby on sale! It's a quick and simple card and I really like the results!!
I hope you can come on over to the DRS site and join in the fun.
Until til next time,
shelia
