Happy New Year!

Hope everyone is ready to ring in the New Year tonight!  I have a simple New Card to share with you today.

The card base is white with a layer of navy and red card stock added before the white layer that's been stamped the the Snow background in Night of Navy. Before attaching this panel to the others, I added a navy ribbon with a red button and some red baker's twine. The New Year sentiment was stamped in Night of Navy on white, then layered on red and navy cut with nestie dies. I punched opposite corners for some added interest. Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!

Merry Christmas Eve

Merry Christmas Everyone! I trust today finds you able to rest, relax and enjoy family and friends as you celebrate Christmas. For today I thought it appropriate to share a card that features the true reason for the season.

I used green, red and cream shimmery card stock to create this Christmas card. The cream is embossed with the CB snowflake folder. The ornaments were die cut with the Spellbinders ornament dies. The two larger ones were stamped in gold ink and embossed with gold embossing powder using the new small nativity stamp and the Silent Night greeting. The smaller ornaments were embossed with the CB swiss dots folder. Some gold cord was added to make them look like they were really hanging. Hope you like it. Thank you for stopping by today.

Have a blessed Christmas!!

DRS Designs' Thursday Challenge

This week's challenge at DRS Designs is to use torn paper on your card. I've actually never done this before.  I have no idea why not, but I haven't. With the holiday season, I decided to create some layers of snow for my card. After tearing the paper, I added some Lace Stickles to the edges. I like the sparkle!!

The card base is Old Olive with a layer of white and then another layer of Old Olive. The main image, Triple Trees, was stamped in Old Olive a couple of times to form a row of trees. The torn snow papers were added below the trees. Some olive gingham ribbon and a couple of dew drops were added to complete the look. Thanks for stopping by.

Have a Merry Christmas!

Tuesday Challenges

The challenge at Tuesday Alchemy is anything but a card. I'm working on gift card holders for my grown kids. One of our family traditions has been to hide a gift for each person on the tree. When the kids were little we hid toys, but now that they are grown we hide gift cards. Here's one of the gift card holders I created.

I used some shimmery cranberry card stock for the stocking, added some DCWV DP for the stocking top, toe and heel. The sentiment is stamped on white card stock and attached to a shimmery scallop circle cut with a nestie. A couple of jingle bells were tied to the ends of the cranberry ribbon, attached to the stocking with glue dots and then the sentiment was attached over the ribbon.

I used the same DCWV DP to create the pocket on the back to hold the gift card. I stamped DRS Designs "A Gift For You" on the pocket in Memento Black ink. These will be hung on the tree for them to find Christmas morning. :-)

Today I had some extra free time so I made a card for Tuesday Morning Sketches.  I think I enjoy sketch challenges the most of any challenge and I'm so glad I've discovered this one! Here's the sketch and my card.

The card base is white with a layer of red card stock with some DCWV DP panels attached. The main image is a free digital from Bugaboo. I colored the image with Copics and layered it on the same red card stock. Some red bakers twine and tiny red snowflakes with rhinestones were added to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by.

Merry Christmas

Hi Everyone. My card today features the recently released Christmas Leonard the Pig. I like how he's carrying a huge stack of wrapped presents!

I used my score pal to score a bunch of lines along the cranberry card base. The two panels were stamped in Cranberry Crisp and Handsome Hunter with the Easy Dot background and the new Ho Ho Ho greeting. They are layered on green card stock. Leonard was stamped in black on white card stock and colored with copics. I sponged some cranberry around the edges while he was still in the oval nestie. Some lace stickles were added to his Santa hat. A tiny cranberry ribbon was added to finish the look. Hope you like it.

Thanks for stopping by. Remember to check out our weekly challenge. We'd love to have you play along!

DRS Designs Thursday Challenge and more

Hi Everyone,

This Thursday the challenge at DRS Designs is to use ribbon on your card. Recently I watched a video on Stamp TV that showed how to use ribbon, baker's twine and a button together. I think I should have been able to figure this out on my own, but...  Here's my card for today's challenge.

As you can see I made another CAS card!  The white card base is layered with some Real Red card stock and then some white that was embossed with the CB snowflake folder. The red gingham ribbon is taped on the back of the red layer. Some baker's twine is wrapped around the ribbon and then threaded through the button and tied into a bow. I like the look of this. I don't use buttons very often on my cards, but I think that may be changing!  The God's Love sentiment was stamped in black on white, cut with a square nestie and then layered on a real red lacy square also cut with nesties.

DRS Designs is also sponsoring this week's Cupcake Inspiration Challenge. Here's the card I made for this inspiration challenge. I also used this week's Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge.

I love this invisible snowman image and thought he fit perfectly with the cupcake challenge. I also used the new Christmas Blessings sentiment and the Open Plaid in red and green.

Thanks for stopping by! We'd love to have you join us in the challenge this week. You can see the details here.

Until next time,

Merriest Merry!

Hi. Can you believe how soon Christmas will be here?!! I am usually closer to being ready for Christmas than I am this year. I think our daughter's wedding last month has thrown me off schedule. But it was worth it!!

Today I have a CAS Christmas card to share. I think all the cards I create between now and Christmas will be clean and simple!!  Anyway this card features the new Merriest Merry sentiment.

The card base is cream with a layer of cranberry. On top of the cranberry is a layer of darker cream that was embossed with the CB snowflake folder. The sentiment was stamped in black on the cream card stock, cut with a square nestie and layered on a scalloped square nestie cut out of the cranberry. Some ribbon and a couple of holly leaves punched with a MS punch finishes the look. I did add some lace stickles to the holly berries.

I also have a gift card holder to share. Our family has a tradition of hiding one gift for each person on the Christmas tree. When the kids were little we hung small toys, but now that they are all grown we hang gift cards. So I try to make different holders for each one. I started with white card stock and stamped the open plaid in real red for a candy cane effect. The little red pieces were embossed with the swirl and swiss dot folders. I used my snowflake nestie to create the snowflake medallion.

I used the same plaid stamp to create the gift card holder on the back along with the A gift for You sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by today. Be sure to check out this week's challenge. We'd love to have you join us!

DRS Designs' Thursday Challenge

Hi. Today our challenge at DRS Designs is to create a religious inspired card. With Christmas almost here, that's pretty easy to do.  I used our new tiny nativity scene and the Christmas Multi Greeting stamps. I used Monday's CAS sketch challenge at Split Coast Stampers for my layout.

I started with a white card, stamped the Christmas Multi Greeting in Night of Navy, then added a navy panel that was punched with the MS snowflake border punch. I added some white and silver ribbon to the navy panel and a vertical one as well. The nativity was stamped on navy in silver ink, heat embossed with silver powder, and cut with a nestie die. I used my embossing pen to outline the die, added silver powder and embossed around the edges of the ornament. My bow easy was used to create a small bow for the top of the ornament. Hope you like it.

We'd love to have you stop by and join in this week's challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.

Candles Galore

Happy First Monday of December!! Christmas is 3 weeks from tomorrow! Wow!! I really need to get my Christmas shopping completed. Thankfully, I'm almost there!

Today I have a CAS card to share. I really like the clean crisp look of CAS cards.

My card base is Bazzil white with a layer navy card stock that's embossed with the CB snowflake folder. The Candles Galore image was stamped on the same white in Memento black ink, colored with Copics, then layered on navy and white. Some navy dew drops were added to the corners to complete the look.  Hope you like it.

Thank you for stopping by today. There's still time to join in this week's Snow Fun challenge. You could be the winner of some cool DRS Designs stamps!!
