I am always in need of birthday cards and I've tried to play along in the Seize the Birthday challenge this year, but I haven't been very consistent. This weekend I found some time to create a card using their sketch!! And it's a masculine card!!
Here is the sketch we were to use. I turned it in order to make my image fit.
I started with a black card and added a white panel that was embossed with a Fiskars squares plate. The main image, Racing Square, was stamped in Memento black on white CS, colored with some Copics, die cut with a nestie label, then layered on a black nestie label. The racing flags were also stamped in Memento black, fussy cut and added to upper left hand corner with some pop dots. The Happy Birthday greeting was stamped in Real Red ink and tucked up under the main image panel. I really like the look of this sketch!

Happy Monday!
Happy Monday! Today I have an Easter card to share that I made for my parents.
I started by stamping the image on white CS with Memento Black ink. After coloring the image with Copics, it was die cut with a nestie rectangle die and sponged with Barely Banana ink while still in the die. This layer is attached to another die cut rectangle that was also sponged with Barely Banana ink. Both of these rectangles are attached to a white card base that is a bit smaller than the largest rectangle. A while flourish, flower, half pearl and bow were added to complete the look.
Remember you still have time to join the basket challenge here at DRS Designs. You could be the winner of some awesome DRS stamps!! You can see details here.
Today for the Merry Monday Challenge we were to play tic tac toe!! Here's the game board!
I chose the top row: Animal, DP and Ribbon. And here's the card I created.
The snowball fight image was stamped on white CS with Memento Black ink, colored with Copics, die cut and layered on some navy CS. I also added some glitter with my glitter pen. The card base is white with a layer of navy and then the DCWV snowflake DP. I added some navy ribbon to opposite corners and then a couple of rhinestone snowflakes to finish the look.
My Christmas card stash is growing!! I love not having to rush to get cards made so close to the holiday season. :-)

Cupcake Inspiration
Happy Palm Sunday!! We had an excellent service at our church this morning. I'm looking forward to celebrating Christ's death and resurrection this coming weekend.
This week DRS Designs is the sponsor at Cupcake Inspirations. Here's a photo of the darling cupcakes that inspired my card today.
My card base is Bazzil yellow with a layer of dark green CS. On top of the green is a layer of white that was sponged with Bashful Blue ink using a scallop oval to create the sky. My sentiment Happy Easter was stamped on the sky with Memento Black ink. The same green CS was punched with a Fiskars border punch for the grass. The white fence was created with white CS using a Memory box picket fence die. My fuzzy chick was stamped with Memento Black ink on white CS, colored with Copics, fussy cut and attached between the layers of grass with a glue dot. The three flowers were also stamped on white CS, colored with copics, fussy cut and attached between the layers of grass with glue dots. A bright yellow ribbon was added to complete the look. Hope you like it!
If you have time, we'd love to have you join the challenge at Cupcake Inspirations this week. You could be the winner of some great stamps from DRS Designs!!

Merry Monday Challenges
This week's Merry Monday Challenge is to use a snowman on your card. I love snowman so I had no problem getting motivated to create a snowman card. :-)
The card base is white with a layer of red CS and then a layer of DCWV blue dotted DP. The tiny snowmen were stamped in Memento Black ink on white CS, colored with Copics, die cut and layered on some red scalloped circles. The Merry Christmas sentiment was also stamped in Memento Black on white and layered on red. The three circles were added to the blue and white strip which was edged with a MS snowflake border punch. I added some red nail heads to three of the tiny punched white snowflakes and used them on the side of the card.
I didn't get time to play in Lesley's Merry Monday Sketch challenge last week, but I decided to go ahead and create one using the sketch even though it's too late to link it up. I really like the sketch!
This card uses red and white CS and a layer of dotted green DCWV DP. The sentiment was stamped with Memento Black ink on white CS, die cut with a Nestie and sponged with Real Red ink while still in the die. The button was threaded with red bakers twine before attaching it to the card.

Tuesday Morning Sketches
This week DRS Designs is the sponsor at Tuesday Morning Sketches, so I just had to play along. Here's the sketch design we were to use.
My card used the ribbon card edger with VersaMark ink and detail white embossing powder on Bashful Blue, pink and yellow CS to create the Easter eggs. I used my oval nesties to cut them out. The card base is white with a layer of green CS embossed with the large dot embossing folder from Darice. I used just the Happy Easter part of this greeting for my sentiment. The plaid panel was made using the Woven Plaid background stamp with Bashful Blue and Gable Green inks. A blue ribbon and some green punched grass finish the look.
We'd love to have you join in the fun. You could be the winner of some cool DRS Designs stamps!!

Easter Blessings
Happy First Monday of March Everyone! Can you believe it's March already? Easter will be here before you know it!! With in mind, I thought I'd share an Easter card that I made for one of my grand kids.
I started with a Certainly Celery card base, added a layer of Bashful Blue and then a layer of white that had been sponged with Bashful Blue ink to make a sky. The white picket fence was made using a die and my Cuttlebug. A Fiskars punch was used to create the two strips of grass at the bottom of the card. The Easter eggs were stamped with VersaMark ink on colored CS, embossed with detail white embossing powder and then die cut with the two smallest Nestie oval dies. The stamps I used on the eggs were Argyle background, butterfly background, Polka dot background and the ribbon card edger. The little Fuzzy chick was stamped on white CS with Memento Black ink, colored with Copics, fussy cut and popped up with a foam dot. The Easter Blessings sentiment was stamped in Memento Black to complete the card. Hope you like it.
