This week's challenge at DRS Designs has us using girls and boys on our cards. I chose to use this adorable Sweet Offering Cutie Pie Kid with the Love you to Moon sentiment. Isn't he just the cutest?
I started with a white card base, added a Bashful Blue CS layer stamped with our Interlocking Heart background in Bashful Blue ink. The sentiment was stamped in Memento Black ink on white CS, die cut and layered on dark blue scalloped oval. The main image was also stamped with Memento Black ink on white CS, colored with Copics, die cut and layered on the same dark blue. Two corner punched edges were added to finish the look. This was a quick and easy card to create and I really like the look. Hope you do too.
This next card is one I created for today's Ways to Use it at SCS. I used this week's sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches. Since I still need a few more thank you cards, I created this using DRS Designs Brush Stroke Thank You.
Here's the sketch design from Tuesday Morning Sketches:
The card base is ivory CS with a layer of snowflake DP from My Mind's Eye. I used my Sakura Gelly Roll pen to highlight the snowflakes. It doesn't really show up in the photo, but looks really sparkly in real life! The three banners are also My Mind's Eye DP. The Thank you was stamped with Bravo Burgundy ink, embossing with clear embossing powder, die cut and layered on some burgundy CS. Some punched snowflakes and clear rhinestones complete the look.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you can join in this week's challenge!!
until next time,
shelia
