Spring and Sympathy

Today I have two cards to share. The first one is for this week's challenge at DRS Designs "Bloomin spring." After all the cold and snow of this winter, I'm definitely ready for some Bloomin Spring. However, we woke up to snow flurries this morning!! Thankfully they didn't last long and the temperature is suppose to make it to the upper 40s and maybe even 50 this afternoon. Now that would be nice!!

This card features the recently released Friendly Flower Frog stamp, as well as the Ladybug Flower, tiny frog and the Sending a Smile greeting.  The Ladybug Flower was stamped and masked 3 times on white CS and colored with Copics. The Friendly Flower Frog and Tiny Frog were stamped on white CS with Memento Black ink, colored with Copics and fussy cut. The card base is white with a layer of green and blue CS. The blue was embossed with the Swiss Dots folder after die cutting an oval for the flowers to pick through. The frogs were added with glue dots and some dew drops finish the look.

We'd love to have you join in the fun at DRS Designs this week. You can see details here.

My next card is for ODBD anniversary challenge to use 6 of something on your card in honor of their 6th Anniversary.  I created this card for dear friends who lost their mother this week.

The card base was embossed with a CB folder for some texture. The butterfly image from the Get Well set was stamped with Versacolor Lavender ink on white CS and die cut with a SB romantic rectangle die. The banner and sentiment were stamped on white CS and die cut with the ODBD custom banner die. Some purple butterflies and half pearls were added. The lighter lavender panel's edges were punched with a MS butterfly border. Some light lavender ribbon and bow were added before attached the main image. I added medium sized lavender half pearls to the edge for my 6 of something.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Until next time,
shelia
