Dream Big
Today I have a graduation card to share with you that uses our soon to be released Dream Big stamp (041F). I created the background by stamping the grad background in real red ink on white CS and attached it to a real red layer. The red strip was also stamped with the same grad background with real red ink, and layered on a punched black strip. The Dream Big sentiment was stamped with real red ink on white CS, sponged around the edges and layered on black CS. I created the ATC card last week for the Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge using the Success today sentiment and Grad cap image and added it to the card for the main focal point. Some red gingham ribbon and red sequins complete the look.
There's still time to join in the ATC challenge and our "Tag you're it" challenge. You can see details here.
Thanks for stopping by today.

Challenges
This week DRS Designs is the sponsor at Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge. We are to create Artist Trading Cards with words or greetings being the main emphasis. ATCs are suppose to be 2.5 inches by 3.5 inches. I created a graduation ATC that I'll add to a card later on. Here's what I came up with.
The Real Red CS was cut to the correct size. After stamping the Success today greeting in Memento Black ink on the white CS, I stamped the grad cap in Real Red after stamping off once. We'd love to have you join the fun at Wicked Wednesday. You can see details here.
My next card was created using the sketch design for this week's ODBD Shining Light Challenge 199. Sketch Challenges used to be my favorite type of challenge. Now I'm finding them a bit more difficult. This card didn't turn out quite like I had imagined, but I do like the result.
The card base is purple CS. I seem to be on a purple craze lately. I started by stamping the bird cage, sentiment and banner with VersaColor Black ink on white CS, die cut and attached them to a piece of purple CS that was embossed with the Swiss dots folder. The little bird was stamped with VersaColor Petal pink ink, die cut and attached to the bird cage. The DP is from my stash. I rarely use it any more, but decided to bring it out today. Some white ribbon and rhinestones complete the card.
Thanks for stopping by today.

Bee-cause You're Special
Happy Monday! Hope you all had a wonderful Easter! We had the warmest
day yet and it felt fantastic. I am definitely ready for Spring weather
so my card today features bees and honeycombs.
I started with a white card base, added a layer of light orange and then a black layer that was stamped with the Bee-cause you're special sentiment and bee trail in Colorbox White ink. The honeycombs were stamped on the light orange CS with Memento black ink, then punched with a Fiskars hexagon punch. After attaching them to the black layer, some black and orange ribbon was added on the side. The Bitsy bee and happy bee were stamped with Memento Black ink on white CS, colored with Copics, fussy cut and attached to the card with glue dots. The wings were colored with a Sakura Gelly Roll Stardust pen for some shimmer and shine.
Don't forget this week's challenge "I get Around." We'd love to see what you can create with circles on your card. You can see details here.

Challenges
This week's challenge at DRS Designs is "I Get Around." We are to use circles on our card. Here's my card for this challenge.
I started with a white card base, added a layer of pale yellow CS that was embossed with the Damask CB folder. Some sheer white ribbon was also added to this layer, along with a tiny bow. The main image and sentiment were stamped in Memento Black ink on white CS, die cut and layered. The main image was colored with Copics. A yellow flower and half pearl complete the look.
My next card is for this week's Our Daily Bread Designs Shining Light Challenge. We are to use a cross, Scripture verse or saying that illustrates the true meaning of Easter. I used the cross from their Flourished Christian Symbols stamp set.
The card base is light lavender CS with a layer of dark lavender and white that was embossed with the same Damask folder as my other card. The cross was stamped with VersaColor Lavender ink on white CS and die cut with the Radiant Rectangles dies from Spellbinders. It is layered on lavender CS that was die cut with the same Spellbinders set. A white ribbon, bow and lavender half pearls complete the look.
There's still time to join in the fun with these two challenges you can see details here and here.

Happy Easter
With Easter coming this weekend, I thought I'd share an Easter card with you today. When I first saw this image, I immediately thought of an old hymn we used to sing in church, "The Old Rugged Cross." So I tried to create a card that sort of has a rugged look.
The card base is Kraft CS that was stamped with the Lines O' Plenty background stamp in VersaMark ink. A strip of brown CS with some burlap ribbon attached was added to the side of the card base. The main image was stamped with Memento Black ink on Kraft CS, colored with copics, die cute and layered on the brown CS. The sentiment was stamped in Black on Kraft CS, die cut and layered on brown as well. I added the heart charm with some brown baker's twine on the burlap ribbon. The charm says peace and love.
Thanks for stopping by today. This week's challenge is to "Pop goes 1 Color" and we want to see black, white and one other color on your card. You can see details here. We'd love to have you play along.
Until next time,

Bee Well
This week's challenge at DRS Designs is "Pop Goes 1 Color." We are to use black, white and one other color on our card. I chose to use yellow as my color.
I started by stamping the new Honeycomb Design (019C) in Memento Black ink on yellow CS and punching them out with a hexagon punch from Fiskars. I stamped the Bee Well greeting and Bee Trail image (1147B) in Colorbox white ink on the black panel. After adding the hexagons, gingham ribbon, button and yellow baker's twine, everything was attached to a white card base. The Happy Bee and Tiny Bee were stamped with Memento Black ink on white CS, colored with copics, fussy cut and added to the panel with pop dots. I added some glue and Diamond dust to the wings of the bees for some sparkle and shine.
Hope you can find some time to play along with this week's challenge!! You can see details here.
Thanks for stopping by today.

The Latest Buzz
DRS Designs has just released some adorable images including this beehive! I think it is the cutest thing and the tiny bees go so perfectly with it. There are also several greetings that go perfectly too. I've used the Latest Buzz for today's card.
I started with the white panel and stenciled More Mustard for the honeycomb design. This was my first attempt at stenciling. I've admired the look of stencils for a while now and just got around to giving it a try. It's easy and creates a fun background. After stenciling on the color, I stamped the greeting in Memento Black ink and the bee trail image (DRS 1147B) as well. The beehive (DRS 1143L) and tiny bees were also stamped on white CS with Memento Black ink, colored with copics, fussy cut and attached to the panel with glue dots. I added some glitter with a Sakura Gelly roll stardust pen. Everything is attached to a orange card base.
This week's challenge is "Who's the Em Boss?" We want to see embossing on your card, either heat, dry or both! You can see details here. We'd love to have you play along.
Thanks for stopping by today.
Until next week.

Who's the Boss
Today's challenge at DRS Designs is to use embossing on your card, either heat, dry or both. Here's my card for the challenge.
This card uses two brand new stamps from DRS Designs that will be released very soon. I love this image (Silhouette Bride and Groom 026G) and greeting (024F). I used dry embossing. The white card base has a panel of white attached that was embossed with the CB Damask folder. I think it makes a very elegant background. Some sheer white ribbon was added, along with some half pearls. The image and greeting were stamped with Memento Black ink on white CS, colored with Copics, die cut and attached to the card with pop dots. You can't really see it in the photo, but everything was spritzed with Shimmering spray. It looks so pretty in real life!! I also used a star dust gelly roll pen on the wedding rings to make them pop a bit.
