O Little Town of Bethlehem

For the past several years, I've played along with the monthly Christmas Card Challenge at Split Coast Stampers. It's a great way to get a head start on Christmas cards and avoid the last minute rush. Well, this past year for some reason, I just didn't keep up with the monthly challenge and boy was I scrambling to get all my cards completed in time for Christmas. So this year I am determined to keep up and not fall behind. The January challenge is "Christmas Music." I created a card using Our Daily Bread Designs' "O Little Town of Bethlehem." I really like this image.

I stamped the image with silver ink on white CS, embossed it with silver embossing powder and layered it on some silver CS. I added some sheer silver ribbon and a rhinestone to the star before attaching it to the white card base. I think I will do another card, but this time use navy CS instead of white.

This is also  the Shining Light Challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs. It's an anything goes challenge, but you must use at least one ODBD image or die. You can see details here.

Thanks or stopping by,
shelia
