Even though I am grateful for technology and being able to see and talk with family far away, my favorite form of communication is still through homemade cards. Cards just make the recipient feel special. I like that feeling. So today I have a grad card to share with you. I used the grad's school colors and the sketch from Split Coast Stampers Wednesday challenge this past week.
I started with the yellow card base, added a layer of green CS and then the white layer after embossing it with a Darice stars EF. I really like the clean crisp look this particular folder creates. The greeting is part of the Bright Grad greeting and was stamped with Versafine onyx black ink, cut into a strip and attached to a green strip that was punched with a stars border. The large stars were created with a set of Darice dies. I taped the four smaller star dies together with Washi tape and punched 2 sets of stars in green and yellow. I alternated the colors, so I have another set of stars for another card. I really like the look of this. Hope you do too.
You still have time to join us in our weekly challenge. This week we are all "So distressed." I'm sure you can guess what this challenge is all about - using distressing on your card. You can see details here.
Thanks for stopping by,
shelia
