Happy Monday Everyone. Hope you had a great weekend. I did. DRS is about to release some fun new images and I got to play with them this weekend. And they are fun! You are going to like them!
My first card uses the two fish images from the new 4 in 1 Ocean stamp (953F). These 4 in 1 stamps are great since you get 4 images that can be used together to create backgrounds or separated and used individually like I did on this card.
To begin I used some Distress Oxide inks in a couple of shades of blue and sponged on the water for my scene. While that dried I stamped a few of the fish images onto white CS, colored them with Copics and fussy cut. After deciding where the fish were to be placed, I stamped part of the fish bubbles image and added clear Nuvo drops. The Aquarium die is from Hero Arts and I hadn't used it before even though I've had it for a couple of months now. So I die cut the aquarium from white CS, some plants from green CS and put the scene together. My family loves aquariums especially marine ones, so I can see lots of cards using this die and these little fish in my future! Here's a look at the inside.
I stamped the greeting without the exclamation point onto white CS, then using a black pen I added an "s" and exclamation mark. After framing it with some blue CS, I added one of the smaller fish.
My second card also uses the 4 in 1 Ocean stamp, but this time I used all four images together and stamped the background using VersaMark ink on the teal panel. I covered most of the background up with the other elements, but if you look closely you can see the two fish and part of the lighthouse image.
I stamped the tiny sailboat from the 4 in 1 Ocean Stamp onto white CS, along with the sailboat and Summer Story Greeting. After coloring the images with Copics, they were die cut and glued onto the teal panel after adding the yellow frames made with the same dies. Everything was added to the yellow card base.
Be sure to check all the other new images from DRS Designs. Thanks for stopping by.
blessings,
shelia
