Happy Monday

Trust everyone had a good weekend. I cannot believe the beautiful weather we have been having! Everything is blooming and turning green. I love this time of the year.

Today I have a couple of cards to share with you. First is a sympathy card that uses two recently released stamps from DRS Designs -the Leaf Butterfly Spray (1098M) and Extending Sympathy Sentiment (1090G).

The purple card base was embossed using the CB Damask folder. I stamped the Leaf Butterfly Spray on white card stock in Memento Black ink. After coloring the image with Copic markers, I cut it out, added a yellow layer and then attached it to the purple card.

The sentiment was also stamped on white card stock with Memento black ink and cut into a rectangle. I used the same yellow card stock for the Spellbinders' fancy tag die and attached the sentiment to the tag.  Hope you like it.

Last week I didn't get a chance to play in Lesley's Merry Monday Challenge, so today I had to make time for this challenge. I really enjoy getting a head start on my Christmas cards. So here is her sketch and the card I created.

If you haven't checked out Lesley's blog "Always Playing with Paper" you should come over and join in the weekly Merry Monday challenge. It's a great way to get started on those Christmas cards!

Until next time,

  1. OMWord, this is so cute, Sheila! I love this image and your beautiful star! Terrific job this week on the Merry Monday Challenge! :)

  2. Very nice: I really like your manager and baby Jesus. I like how you popped up your star, too. So pretty!

  3. Both of these cards are the butterflies in the first card and your Christmas card, the star is the perfect touch!

  4. What a cute Christmas image
.. Love it! Also Love the star as the little embellishment.

  5. Love both cards - the butterflies and leaf stamp is very nice.
Perfect Christmas card too. I'm been trying to make a Christmas card every week based on the sketch from Always Playing with Paper and it is so nice to have a good start on my Christmas cards instead of doing them all at once.

  6. I love this Baby Jesus in the manger! Great background colors and beautifully colored.

  7. Very nice card. Love the star as a final touch. Adorable image.
