Hi Everyone,
Today I want to share two cards. One is for DRS Designs' Weekly Challenge. This week we are to make masculine cards. I created a Father's Day Card using DRS Designs (1111K) harbor stamp.
I started with pale green card stock, added a teal blue layer that was border punched and embossed with a CB border folder. The image was stamped with Memento Black and colored with Copics. After cutting it with an oval nestie, I sponged some Bashful blue for the sky. It's layered on a scallop oval in the same green as the base and attached with pop dots in the center of the card. Some star brads were added to finish the look. Come check out the creations at DRS Designs and play along in this week's challenge!!
I also made a Christmas Card for Lesley's weekly Merry Monday challenge.
The card base on this one is white with a layer of dark green. The middle panel is white card stock punched with a MS border. A layer of cranberry card stock was added and then a layer of DCWV DP was added along with a cranberry ribbon. The main image is DRS Designs' (870H) Wishing You greeting, which was stamped in Stazon Jet Black, cut with an oval nestie and attached to a cranberry scallop oval. After attaching the sentiment to the card, I used a MS punch for the holly leaves. Red nail heads were used for the berries. I also added some nail heads to the right hand side to finish off the card.
If you are interested in getting a head start on your Christmas cards, check out Lesley's blog. She has a new sketch each Monday. It's a fun way to get started on those cards and avoid the rush later on!!
Thanks for taking a look.
Until next time,
shelia
