It's time for another Thursday challenge here at DRS Designs. This week we are to use inches on our card. The new Christmas Village stamps are perfect for this challenge.
The card base is white with a layer of Bashful Blue CS. On top of that is the navy CS that has tiny punched snowflakes glued on and then embossed with the CB Swiss Dots folder. Some sheer blue ribbon and bow were added before attaching this layer to the card base. The Christmas Village House 1 was stamped twice on white CS, colored with Copics, punched and layered on the same navy and bashful blue CS. Some stickles were added to the rooftops and snow lines. The sentiment was stamped with black ink on white and layered on the bashful blue. Hope you like it.
We'd love to have you join in the challenge this week. You can see details here. You could be the winner of some fabulous new stamps!!
My next card is for this week's Merry Monday Challenge to use ribbon and buttons on your card. I purchased this ribbon at JoAnn's a couple of years ago along with the Gingerbread buttons. I think they go together nicely.
I started by stamping the Gingerbread Boy with Memento Black ink on cream CS, coloring him with Copics and then fussy cutting him. The rest of the card was pretty simple. I embossed the cream layer with the CB snowflake folder, added it to a chocolate chip layer, attached the ribbons to it and then attached it to the card base. The colored Gingerbread Boy was added with pop dots. The die cut green arrow as added and then the little button. The Merry Monday Challenge is a great way to get a head start on those Christmas cards and avoid the rush closer to the Christmas season!
