Snow Globe

Happy Monday everyone! I'm sure you have noticed all the new Christmas stamps here at DRS Designs. There's everything you need to create an adorable Christmas village. I'm having so much fun playing with these new stamps! I have always loved snow globes. As I kid I can remember shaking them to see the snow fall and then repeating it over and over. When I saw these new stamps I knew I had to create a snow globe card!

I started by stamping the snow globe image in Memento Black on white CS, then I stamped the snow lines in the same black. I masked these snow lines and sponged Not Quite Navy ink in for the sky. A Recollections white opague pen was used to create the snow in the sky. The trees and little house were stamped on white CS, colored with Copics, fussy cut and attached to the image with glue dots. I use a blue Copic to outline the snow. After fussing cutting the globe, a green ribbon was added. The Merry Christmas greeting was stamped in black ink on the white panel before embossing it with a Darice snow swirls folder. I matted it on black CS before attaching it to the white card base. This was such a fun card to create. Hope you like it!

This week's challenge is the Big Chill! So this card fits right in. You can see details here. Hope you can play along. We'd love to heat up the blog with some cool wintry creations!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Until next time,
shelia
