It has been snowing for over 24 hours here in NW Ohio!! Yesterday was
called Super Snow Sunday instead of Super Bowl Sunday. It's really
quite beautiful outside and oh so cold and windy! First I thought I'd
share a CAS snowman card with you in honor of all the snow!!
My
card base is white with a layer of green CS and a white panel that was
embossed with a Darice snowflake folder. I found this folder marked down
after Christmas and it is becoming my favorite EF! I added the white
lace before attaching the panel to the card base. The snowman was stamped on white CS, colored with Copics, fussy cut and attached to the card with pop dots for a bit of dimension. The No Fun like Snow Fun
was stamped on white CS, die cut with a pendant nestie and layered on a
scalloped green pendant. A small green snowflake and half white pearl
complete the look.
This week's challenge at DRS Designs is So Shapely.
You have to use at least 2 shapes on your card. With Valentine's Day
fast approaching, this is perfect for getting those Love cards created.
Here's a Valentine I created that could be used for this challenge.
I
got a Sizzix Regal Flip-its Die for Christmas and have been having fun
creating different cards with it. These dies make it super easy to
create a flip card. I started with a green card base, added the front
accent panel that was stamped with the Interlocking Hearts background in VersaMark ink, embossed with white EP and then sponged with Pretty in Pink ink. The plaid
panel was created by stamping the larger woven plaid strip in the same
pink ink and the thinner strip in Certainly Celery ink. Some dotted
green ribbon, a heart button and bakers twine were added as well as the
pink flower and green vines. The Happy Valentines Day was stamped in black ink on white and die cut along with the green and pink frames.
I stamped the Love You
portion of the love you more stamp on pink CS, layered it with white on
the inside or flipped part. You can also see the plaid a bit better
here. I added a white panel to the back to write my greeting and to hide
the back where the ribbon is attached.
Hope you can find some time to play along in this week's challenge. You could be the winner of some fabulous DRS Stamps!
Thanks for stopping by.
