Challenges

This week's challenge at DRS Designs is "It's a guy thing." Perfect for getting a head start on those Father's Day cards. Here's mine:

I got the idea for this card from a challenge at Split Coast Stampers earlier this week. It was to stamp a border around your card. I used the Four Corner Sports image for my border. I cut the stamp apart so I could use each image individually. The Baseball Glove and Football were stamped with Memento Cocoa ink and then I colored the glove with some Copics and added some red to the baseball. The Soccer ball was stamped with Versafine Onyx ink and the Basketball was stamped with Memories Chestnut ink. Once the border was completed I used my MISTI to position the sentiment in the center. I restamped the Happy Father's Day portion of the greeting, die it and used foam squares to give some dimension. I also stamped a Soccer ball, Football and Basketball, fussy cut them and attached them with foam squares randomly around the border. A couple of glitter hearts were added by the I love you portion of the greeting.

My next card is for this week's Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge. It's a great sketch design!

I turned the sketch sideways and used the star for the circle. The blue panel was embossed with a Darice folder. I only stamped part of the Grad greeting on the front of the card. The rest is inside.

Here's the inside with the rest of the greeting as well as the conGRADuations greeting. This is for my nephew and since he is off to Randolph Macon this fall to play football for them, I had to add a couple of footballs in the corners. I think he'll like this.

Hope you can find some time to join in the fun!

Thanks for stopping by,
