Baby it's Cold Outside!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I did. We were able to be in VA with family to celebrate, so that was extra special! Plus we were able to leave the frigid cold behind in Ohio!!

My card today features a couple of soon to be released images from DRS Designs. I started this card by stamping the interlocking snowflake background image onto white CS with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with clear EP. Once it cooled, I used TH Distress inks to sponge on the color. I did the same with the new greeting Baby it's Cold Outside (1137G), then die cut it with a SB circle die and popped it up with foam adhesive. The mittens were created with a paper punch. I punched 10 mittens, using 5 for each to give some dimension. I used the tiniest snowflake from the background image to stamp onto the mittens with TH Tumbled Glass ink. I also sponged some ink around the edges of the mittens as well as on the top rim. The bow was created with some glittery white cross stitch thread and I attached the mittens to the ties and card with foam dots.

To create the inside, I started with a piece of white CS slightly smaller than the navy card base, folded it in half and die cut a snowflake being careful to not die cut the bottom parts completely through and glued it to the inside. This way the snowflake pops out when you open the card. The greeting is the new Snowy Days Greeting (1123F) from DRS Designs. I stamped it with VersaFine Black Onyx ink and added a few snowflakes stamped with SU Night of Navy ink.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you are keeping warm!!
