I guess because of all the cold and snow, I've have found myself
grabbing any and all stamps that have to do with flowers and springtime.
Stamping and coloring flowers just makes me feel warm! And I can
definitely use some warmth right now. The weather man is saying we're
about to get some more of that Arctic Blast. Yikes!! So today I'm
sharing a spring like card.
I
started with a 5 1/2 by 8 1/2 piece of white CS and used my MS scoring
pad to create a gate fold card. The lavender panels were stamped with
the Lines O' Plenty background in VersaMark ink, layered on black CS and attached to the 2 front panels. The main image
was stamped in memento Black ink, colored with Copics, die cut and
layered on a lacy black square. I added some glue and diamond dust to
the centers of the flowers and sponged some green for the grass and blue
for the sky. The Just because sentiment was stamped in black ink. Some punched pink flowers and black half pearls complete the look.
This
week's challenge at DRS Designs is to use paint chips on your card. You
can use the paint chips as background panels or punch items from them.
You can see the details and what the DT members created here. There's still plenty of time to join in the fun. We'd love to see what you can create with paint chips.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Until next time,
shelia
I know the feeling. This card certainly adds some sunshine to the day that doesn't have dropping temps attached. Nice job.
