The Big Chill Challenge at DRS Designs

This week the challenge at DRS Designs is the Big Chill. They have just released (or soon will be releasing) a set of little Christmas village stamps. They are adorable and so much fun to work with. Here's the card I created for this week's challenge.

I used the new Village Pond and Bridge stamp(105H) and the new 4 in 1 stamp(119D) for this card. I started by stamping the main image and coloring it with Copics. Some Bashful Blue ink was sponged on for the sky after stamping the falling snow part of the 4 in 1 stamp on with VersaMark ink and heat embossing it with clear EP. I stamped the little boy and snowman(119D) into the scene and colored them with Copics too. Next I added Glossy Effects to the pond to give it the look of being frozen. Once it dried, I added the trees(119D) in front. They were stamped on separate paper, colored and fussy cut. The Let it snow greeting was stamped with Color Box white ink and heat embossed with detail white embossing powder. The background was created by stamping the White Christmas Text Background stamp in Night of Navy ink. Some velvet ribbon and snowflakes with half pearls complete the look.

We'd love to have you come join in the fun. It will give you a head start on those Christmas cards too! You can see details here.

blessings,
shelia

  1. Not ready for snow but the scene makes me feel a bit cooler. Really nice card.
