Our weather is warming up and I'm so excited to see sunshine and even
some spots of grass! It'll take a while for all the snow to disappear,
but spring is definitely on its way! And that always makes me think
Easter. Easter and Christmas are my favorite holidays and my favorite
cards to create. So today I'm sharing an Easter card with you.
I started by cutting the tag with my Cricut machine. I really should use that machine more often!! Once cut, I stamped the three crosses
with Memento Black ink, colored with copics, masked the image and
sponged in Bashful Blue ink for the sky. Some brown twine was added to
the top of the tag. The sentiment
was stamped in Memento Black ink, die cut, layered on a green scalloped
nestie, then later cut to fit on the card. The brown layer was embossed
with a wood grain folder, which goes perfectly with the crosses. Next I
die cut a green frame, punched the Bashful Blue flowers and put the
card together. It doesn't look exactly like I envisioned, but I do like
it.
Be sure to check out this week's challenge at DRS Designs to use buttons on your card. We'd love to have you play along.
Thanks for stopping by today,

I don't see it here, but I want to comment on the blue and white floral card on DRS - what a lovely sympathy card. If you do not mind, I may use it for inspiration - I really like the elegance and softness.
ReplyDeleteThank you Dorothy! I am honored that you'd be inspired by my sympathy card. Please do feel free to "case it' as they say. Blessings to you!. shelia
