Challenges

Today I have two cards to share with you, both from Challenges. This first one is for the sketch challenge at Split Coast Stampers. It's their 550th challenge, so we were to go back and find a sketch from 500 - 549 to use. I chose SC509 and here's my lego card.

I saw a card like this on Pinterest. The link sent me to another site, but I couldn't get it to upload correctly, so I just did what I could from the pic. It's really pretty simple. The two layers were embossed with a dots folder and the sentiment was stamped above them in black ink. The lego blocks were sponged with matching inks before adding the punched circles with pop dots. Once the circles were in place I used a white gel pen to add the shading marks. My grandson's birthday is coming up so this is for him.

My second card is for this week's Shining Light challenge at Our Daily Bread. It's an inspiration challenge. Here's the photo for inspiration.

And here's my card.

I used various dies to form the layers, swirls and flowers on this. The sentiment is from ODBD's Banner Sentiments. After stamping the sentiment, I stamped the matching banner and then used the matching die to cut it out - easy peasy! I'm not convinced about this color combo. It looked much better in my head.

Thanks for stopping by,
shelia
