Challenges

The challenge this week at DRS Designs is "Cause a scene." You just need to create a scene on your card. I really like scenes on cards. They are fun to create and can be challenging too. Here's the card I created.

I started with the white CS panel, stamped on the branches, then the bird house and chair, then masked the chair and added the easy grass background. Once everything as colored with Copics, I masked the chair again and sponged on Old Olive for the yard and some Bashful blue for the sky. The sentiment is part of the Sitting Here greeting. After stamping and die cutting it, I cut the edge on a diagonal and sponged on some bashful blue for dimension. I used some nestie dies for the layers and attached everything to a white card base.

We'd love to have you join in the fun this week. Details can be found here.

I also have a card I created for this week's Anything Goes challenge at ODBD. It was a quick and easy card to create. The Spellbinder dies do all the work and create such an elegant card.

The Bible verse was stamped in VersaFine black ink on cream CS, die cut and layered on the pink die cut panel which was layered on the cream die cut. I did create my own dp by stamping DRS Designs Interlocking Hearts in VersaMark ink on the large pink pink panel. I like the fact that this is elegant and rather flat - good for mailing to a friend who needs some encouragement. You can see details for this challenge here.

Thanks for stopping by today.

  2. Hello, sweet Shelia! It was so nice to hop over here from Jim's blog! Your cards are beautiful (as always), and I especially love the first one with the sweet birds in the branches! Beautifully colored! It reminds me of how much my mom loved birds as she sat on her back porch. It's wonderful to visit! Hugs!
