Fun Folds

Hi Everyone. Hope you had a great weekend and were able to find some time to get creative. I received my copy of  Card Maker magazine (autumn edition) this weekend and found a fancy fold card I wanted to try out.

I started with a 7 1/2 x 3 1/2 inch piece of dark purple CS, cut one long side at an angle, then stamped and embossed it with the interlocking flower background stamp. Once it cooled, I scored it on the back at 3, 3 1/2, 5 and 6 1/8 inches, then folded. The lighter purple was stamped and embossed with the silhouette branch background stamp. After attaching the folded purple to the lighter purple CS, the lace and ribbon were added. The flower was created using nesties. The pearl brad holds the flower on and helps to keep the ribbons in place. Everything is attached to a white card base.  You can see exactly how to create this type of card on pages 36-37 of the most recent Card Maker magazine.

Hope you can find some time to join in this week's challenge here at DRS Designs. We have some beautiful colors to inspire you. Details can be found here.

Thanks for stopping by.
