the beauty of autumn

Our weather has turned unseasonably cool here in NW Ohio. Not sure how long this cooler spell will last, but we are certainly enjoying this cool, crisp, and sunny weather! It definitely gets me in the mood to stamp for the fall holidays. Today my card features our silhouette leaf stamp. I used Pumpkin Pie and More Mustard inks to stamp the leaves on my white layer of CS.

After layering this piece on some pumpkin colored CS, I added some ribbon that was tied in knots first and then taped on the back to hold them in place. This goes perfectly with DRS Designs' challenge this week to use ribbons, but no bows. To finish it off the beauty of autumn greeting was stamped in black ink, die cut, sponged with some pumpkin pie ink and added to the front along with the little leaf button and some baker's twine.

You still have some time to join in this week's challenge "I'm all in Knots." You can see details here. I've also entered this card in the Anything goes Challenge at Loves to Scrap.

DRS Designs is the sponsor this week. So you have two chances to win some great stamps! Hope you can play along!

Thanks for stopping by today,
