Weekly Challenges

DRS Designs' challenge this week is all ears! You must have something on your card that has ears. This is a great challenge to get some of those Easter cards created. Here's my card.

To start I used Gelatos on watercolor paper to create the background panel as well as the little peeps. Once they dried I fussy cut them out and placed them in the grass that was created using a Fiskars border punch. The favorite peeps sentiment was stamped in the top corner with VersaFine Black ink. Some sheer white ribbon and bow complete the look.

Don't you love these sweet little peeps. Be sure to check out the challenge to see some other ways this cute image can be used.

I also have a card for this week's Merry Monday Challenge to use stars on your card.

DRS Designs has a beautiful filigree star image that I used for my card.

The star and sentiment are both stamped with silver ink on navy cs and embossed with silver EP. The border was punched with a stars border. I tried to punch the silver glitter paper with the same border, but it was too thick and after several attempts, I gave up. So I punched the edge with a single star punch and then used pinking shears to cut the zigzag border. A couple of silver star brads complete the look.  You can see details for this challenge here.

Thanks for stopping by,
