Easter Cards

Hi Everyone. Today I have two Easter cards to share with you. This first one is a rather silly card. When I first received the new bunny ears stamp I immediately thought of all the different animal stamps I could use it with. But then I saw the Cadbury Easter Egg advertisement where all these different animals are trying out to be the Cadbury bunny and that gave me an idea...

I stamped the lion image first, colored him with Copics, die cut, layered it and then stamped the bunny ears, colored, fussy cut and added them to the lion. The Happy Easter is part of the new Favorite Peeps stamp and then I thought the wild thing would be a great addition. I think the rest of the card is pretty easy to follow. My son loves Cadbury eggs, so this will be his goofy Easter card this year. I think he'll like it, especially if it accompanies some Cadbury eggs!!

My next Easter card is more serious. I really like the 3 wooden crosses image and I've been making quite a few of my Easter cards with this particular image.

I die cut the oval from my brown card base and then embossed it with the wood folder. The crosses were stamped on white CS and colored with Copics. The Bible verse was stamped with Stazon Black ink on vellum and layered over top of the crosses and then attached it behind the opening. Some blue ribbon, punched flowers and green leaf sprays complete the look.

Have you checked out this week's challenge at DRS Designs? It's a color challenge and we'd love to have you play along. You can see details here.
