Bloomin' Beautiful

It's Thursday and that means it's time for another challenge at DRS Designs. This week it's a Bloomin' Beautiful challenge. You just need to use flowers on your card. I needed a birthday card for an elderly lady so this challenge was the perfect inspiration to create her birthday card.

I started by stamping the dogwood flowers with Memento Black ink on white CS, coloring them with Copics, die cutting them with an oval die and layering them on a black scalloped oval. I stamped the Happy Birthday greeting with the same black ink before embossing the pink panel with a Darice basket weave folder. This panel is layered on black CS and I added the black gingham ribbon before attaching everything to the white card base. Some black half pearls finish it off.

You can see details for this challenge here at DRS Designs' blog. Hope you can join in the fun.

Thanks for stopping by today,
