Happy New Year!

Hope everyone is ready to ring in the New Year tonight!  I have a simple New Card to share with you today.

The card base is white with a layer of navy and red card stock added before the white layer that's been stamped the the Snow background in Night of Navy. Before attaching this panel to the others, I added a navy ribbon with a red button and some red baker's twine. The New Year sentiment was stamped in Night of Navy on white, then layered on red and navy cut with nestie dies. I punched opposite corners for some added interest. Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!

Merry Christmas Eve

Merry Christmas Everyone! I trust today finds you able to rest, relax and enjoy family and friends as you celebrate Christmas. For today I thought it appropriate to share a card that features the true reason for the season.

I used green, red and cream shimmery card stock to create this Christmas card. The cream is embossed with the CB snowflake folder. The ornaments were die cut with the Spellbinders ornament dies. The two larger ones were stamped in gold ink and embossed with gold embossing powder using the new small nativity stamp and the Silent Night greeting. The smaller ornaments were embossed with the CB swiss dots folder. Some gold cord was added to make them look like they were really hanging. Hope you like it. Thank you for stopping by today.

Have a blessed Christmas!!

DRS Designs' Thursday Challenge

This week's challenge at DRS Designs is to use torn paper on your card. I've actually never done this before.  I have no idea why not, but I haven't. With the holiday season, I decided to create some layers of snow for my card. After tearing the paper, I added some Lace Stickles to the edges. I like the sparkle!!

The card base is Old Olive with a layer of white and then another layer of Old Olive. The main image, Triple Trees, was stamped in Old Olive a couple of times to form a row of trees. The torn snow papers were added below the trees. Some olive gingham ribbon and a couple of dew drops were added to complete the look. Thanks for stopping by.

Have a Merry Christmas!

Until next time,

Tuesday Challenges

The challenge at Tuesday Alchemy is anything but a card. I'm working on gift card holders for my grown kids. One of our family traditions has been to hide a gift for each person on the tree. When the kids were little we hid toys, but now that they are grown we hide gift cards. Here's one of the gift card holders I created.

I used some shimmery cranberry card stock for the stocking, added some DCWV DP for the stocking top, toe and heel. The sentiment is stamped on white card stock and attached to a shimmery scallop circle cut with a nestie. A couple of jingle bells were tied to the ends of the cranberry ribbon, attached to the stocking with glue dots and then the sentiment was attached over the ribbon.

I used the same DCWV DP to create the pocket on the back to hold the gift card. I stamped DRS Designs "A Gift For You" on the pocket in Memento Black ink. These will be hung on the tree for them to find Christmas morning. :-)

Today I had some extra free time so I made a card for Tuesday Morning Sketches.  I think I enjoy sketch challenges the most of any challenge and I'm so glad I've discovered this one! Here's the sketch and my card.

The card base is white with a layer of red card stock with some DCWV DP panels attached. The main image is a free digital from Bugaboo. I colored the image with Copics and layered it on the same red card stock. Some red bakers twine and tiny red snowflakes with rhinestones were added to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by.

Merry Christmas

Hi Everyone. My card today features the recently released Christmas Leonard the Pig. I like how he's carrying a huge stack of wrapped presents!

I used my score pal to score a bunch of lines along the cranberry card base. The two panels were stamped in Cranberry Crisp and Handsome Hunter with the Easy Dot background and the new Ho Ho Ho greeting. They are layered on green card stock. Leonard was stamped in black on white card stock and colored with copics. I sponged some cranberry around the edges while he was still in the oval nestie. Some lace stickles were added to his Santa hat. A tiny cranberry ribbon was added to finish the look. Hope you like it.

Thanks for stopping by. Remember to check out our weekly challenge. We'd love to have you play along!

DRS Designs Thursday Challenge and more

Hi Everyone,

This Thursday the challenge at DRS Designs is to use ribbon on your card. Recently I watched a video on Stamp TV that showed how to use ribbon, baker's twine and a button together. I think I should have been able to figure this out on my own, but...  Here's my card for today's challenge.

As you can see I made another CAS card!  The white card base is layered with some Real Red card stock and then some white that was embossed with the CB snowflake folder. The red gingham ribbon is taped on the back of the red layer. Some baker's twine is wrapped around the ribbon and then threaded through the button and tied into a bow. I like the look of this. I don't use buttons very often on my cards, but I think that may be changing!  The God's Love sentiment was stamped in black on white, cut with a square nestie and then layered on a real red lacy square also cut with nesties.

DRS Designs is also sponsoring this week's Cupcake Inspiration Challenge. Here's the card I made for this inspiration challenge. I also used this week's Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge.

I love this invisible snowman image and thought he fit perfectly with the cupcake challenge. I also used the new Christmas Blessings sentiment and the Open Plaid in red and green.

Thanks for stopping by! We'd love to have you join us in the challenge this week. You can see the details here.

Until next time,

Merriest Merry!

Hi. Can you believe how soon Christmas will be here?!! I am usually closer to being ready for Christmas than I am this year. I think our daughter's wedding last month has thrown me off schedule. But it was worth it!!

Today I have a CAS Christmas card to share. I think all the cards I create between now and Christmas will be clean and simple!!  Anyway this card features the new Merriest Merry sentiment.

The card base is cream with a layer of cranberry. On top of the cranberry is a layer of darker cream that was embossed with the CB snowflake folder. The sentiment was stamped in black on the cream card stock, cut with a square nestie and layered on a scalloped square nestie cut out of the cranberry. Some ribbon and a couple of holly leaves punched with a MS punch finishes the look. I did add some lace stickles to the holly berries.

I also have a gift card holder to share. Our family has a tradition of hiding one gift for each person on the Christmas tree. When the kids were little we hung small toys, but now that they are all grown we hang gift cards. So I try to make different holders for each one. I started with white card stock and stamped the open plaid in real red for a candy cane effect. The little red pieces were embossed with the swirl and swiss dot folders. I used my snowflake nestie to create the snowflake medallion.

I used the same plaid stamp to create the gift card holder on the back along with the A gift for You sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by today. Be sure to check out this week's challenge. We'd love to have you join us!

DRS Designs' Thursday Challenge

Hi. Today our challenge at DRS Designs is to create a religious inspired card. With Christmas almost here, that's pretty easy to do.  I used our new tiny nativity scene and the Christmas Multi Greeting stamps. I used Monday's CAS sketch challenge at Split Coast Stampers for my layout.

I started with a white card, stamped the Christmas Multi Greeting in Night of Navy, then added a navy panel that was punched with the MS snowflake border punch. I added some white and silver ribbon to the navy panel and a vertical one as well. The nativity was stamped on navy in silver ink, heat embossed with silver powder, and cut with a nestie die. I used my embossing pen to outline the die, added silver powder and embossed around the edges of the ornament. My bow easy was used to create a small bow for the top of the ornament. Hope you like it.

We'd love to have you stop by and join in this week's challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.

Candles Galore

Happy First Monday of December!! Christmas is 3 weeks from tomorrow! Wow!! I really need to get my Christmas shopping completed. Thankfully, I'm almost there!

Today I have a CAS card to share. I really like the clean crisp look of CAS cards.

My card base is Bazzil white with a layer navy card stock that's embossed with the CB snowflake folder. The Candles Galore image was stamped on the same white in Memento black ink, colored with Copics, then layered on navy and white. Some navy dew drops were added to the corners to complete the look.  Hope you like it.

Thank you for stopping by today. There's still time to join in this week's Snow Fun challenge. You could be the winner of some cool DRS Designs stamps!!

DRS Designs' Thursday Challenge

This week the challenge at DRS Designs is Snow Fun. Here's the card I created.

I started with a white card base with a teal blue layer added. The next layer is white with the 4 in 1 snowflake stamped all over in versaMark ink. I heat embossed the snowflakes with clear embossing powder and then sponged Taken with Teal ink all around. I really like the look of the embossed resist technique!! After attaching this panel to the card, I added teal ribbon, my picket fence and the Christmas lights. I found these Christmas lights stickers at Hobby Lobby and  love how they fit on this fence so well!! To finish off the card I stamped the Sand, Water, Snow Lines and Let it Snow sentiment in Taken with Teal on white card stock, fussy cut it out, then added a teal snowflake and rhinestone before attaching it to the bottom of the card.

Hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by.

Tuesday Morning Sketches

This week DRS Designs is sponsoring the Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge. Here's the card I created for today's sketch challenge.

I turned the sketch on its side and just added a bow instead of the circle and bow. Hope that's ok. I really wanted to stamp the new Funky Christmas Tree three times, masking the one in the middle. This made a larger image, but I like the way it turned out! After coloring my trees with Copics, I added some dimensional stickers from my stash. The tree panel is framed in the same green card stock as the card base. The large white panel is embossed with the CB snowflake folder. I used DRS Designs easy dot background stamp in green and yellow for the vertical strip behind the main image. The bow was made using my bow easy and yellow and green bakers' twine. Hope you can find some time to play along in the challenge!!

Happy Cyber Monday!!

Hope everyone had a marvelous Thanksgiving! Are you still eating turkey and stuffing?  We are! I don't usually like leftovers, but there's something about the Thanksgiving leftovers - they're just as good the second and third time around!

Today my card features the just released Silent Night greeting and the small nativity scene as well as the Silent Night sheet music. Everything is stamped in silver on blue card stock and heat embossed with silver embossing powder. Heat embossed Christmas cards are so pretty to me and fairly easy to create!! I made a card very similar to this last week for the Merry Monday Challenge. I really like this layout!

After stamping the sheet music image I cut the image into 3 banners and layered them on a white panel that was embossed with the CB snowflake folder. The sentiment and small nativity image were cut with nesties and layered on white. Some silver half pearls and silver ric rac were added to complete the look. Hope you like it.

Today is the last Merry Monday Challenge so I had to create one last card using Lesley's awesome sketches!

These stamps had to be dusted off before using them this morning!! The bulb is from an ancient SU set called Little Layers and the sentiment is from Button Bear. I kept this card CAS. After stamping and coloring the bulbs, I layered them on green nesties and then attached them to a white snowflake embossed panel. Between the circles I added a couple of ornaments cut from nesties and embossed with the Swiss dots folder. The red panel was punched with a MS snowflake border. I used my bow easy to make the little green bow. I'm sad to see the Merry Monday Challenges end, but look forward to playing again in January!! It's been a great way to get my stash of Christmas cards created early!

Thanks for stopping by. And if you haven't up loaded your "turkey" card, you still have time to play in the latest DRS Designs' challenge. We'd love to have you join us!

Christmas Lights

I made this card for Friday's Free for All challenge at Splitcoast Stampers. We were to use glitter on our cards. Now I must admit, I am always hesitant to use glitter unless it's Stickles. I make such a mess with loose glitter!!! It ends up everywhere. My poor dog even ends up with glitter on her. Anyway, I used DRS Designs waves, snow, water lines image to stamp the snow drifts and then added some glue and sprinkled glitter along the edges after stamping my sentiment in the corner. The background was created using DRS Designs Snowflakes image. I stamped it in VersaFine, heat embossed in clear and then sponged Bashful Blue, Not Quite Navy and Night of Navy ink all around. I really like the embossed resist technique for backgrounds. My fence is a die and the lights are stickers I found at Hobby Lobby on sale. I really like the look of the lights along the fence - very festive!!

Merry Monday Challenge #42

I finally found time to play in Lesley's Merry Monday Challenge again. It's been a while. She has some great sketches! Here's my take on this week's challenge.

I stamped DRS Designs' Silent Night Sheet Music on red and green card stock and embossed it in gold, then cut them into the flags for the background. The sentiment and main image are both new images and will soon  be released by DRS Designs'.

This is also for today's Technique challenge at SCS "Emboss the Edges". I used an old embossing pen to emboss around the edges of the cream circle and oval shapes, then heat embossed with the same gold as the images.

Thanks for stopping by.

Until next time,

Happy Thanksgiving!

Wow I can hardly believe Thanksgiving is this Thursday. Where has the time gone? I hope you all have a wonderful time celebrating this holiday.

I have two cards to share with you today. The first one is a card I made for my son and daughter in law for Thanksgiving.

I started with a pumpkin colored base and then added the white panel that was stamped with silhouette branch background in Pumpkin Pie ink. On the left I added a panel of white layered on the pumpkin card stock after stamping it with the new checkerboard background. I stamped the sentiment in black on a pendant and then stamped part of the silhouette branch in pumpkin pie for some added interest. The flower is from my stash. Some dew drops were added to finish it off.

My second card is a sneak peek at a soon to be released Christmas stamp. Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday and I love creating Christmas cards, especially with new stamps!!

First I stamped the woven plaid background in Real red on the red card base. The Santa and Reindeer was stamped in Memento black on white card stock. The new Christmas Lamp Post (238H) was also stamped on the same panel. I colored in the Santa and Reindeer image with copic markers. The lamp post was stamped a second time on white, colored with copics, fussy cut and attached over the original image with glue dots for some dimension. The holiday lights were stamped on white, colored with copics and cut out and layered on green before attaching them to the card. I really like the festive look of this card.  Hope you do too!

Be sure to check DRS Designs for the new releases this weekend!!

Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy the holiday this weekend and I hope you find some time to stamp!!

Turkey Challenge

Here's a fun card I created for this week's challenge at DRS Designs to use turkeys. I think this turkey is too funny holding his "help" sign!!

My card base is white with a layer of yellow. I punched 4 strips of card stock with the Swiss dots border punch and attached them to the yellow card stock. The main image was stamped in Memento black, colored with copics, cut with a square nestie and layered on a yellow nestie. The sentiment was stamped on white card stock, cut with a labels die, sponged with yellow ink and attached to the card.

I'll send this to my grandson for Thanksgiving. He'll think it's funny!

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you can join in the challenge!

Give Thanks to the Lord

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. I love the food and family time, but I really enjoy the time spent reflecting on everything I have for which to be thankful! For me this sentiment says it all!!

My card base is a dark pumpkin color with a layer of white that was stamped with the new Long Tall Wheat  in More Mustard and Pumpkin Pie inks. I sponged some More Mustard and Antique Linen along the bottom for the ground and then some Bashful Blue at the top for the sky. A picket fence was added with the punched pumpkins. The sentiment was stamped in Pumpkin Pie on white, cut with a pendant die and layered on a scalloped pendant. I colored some clear dew drops with a Copic marker before attaching them to the upper right hand corner with glue dots to finish the look.

Be sure to check out all the new releases at DRS Designs! Plus there's still time to join in this week's challenge. We'd love to have you join us and show us your cards featuring candles!

Thursday Challenge at DRS Designs!

This week's challenge at DRS Designs is to use candles on your cards. I thought about making a Christmas card featuring candles, but I need birthday card for a friend. So I'm going with b'day candles!

I cut two triangles out of green and orange card stock, ran them through the Swiss dots CB folder and attached them to the white card. The main image was stamped in Memento Black, colored with copics, cut with a nestie die and sponged with some Barely Banana ink before removing it from the die. I added some orange bakers twine before attaching the main image to the center of the card. Some green dew drops were added to the orange panel and some orange drops to the green panel. Hope my friend likes it!!

We'd love to have you join us in this week's challenge!!

Happy Fall Y'all

DRS Designs has some great new fall stamps. I have been having so much fun trying them out! My card today features their new Happy Fall Y'all greeting and the adorable little scarecrow!

I started with a white card base and attached a layer of red card stock that was embossed with the CB pumpkin swirl folder. On top of that is a layer of blue CS with a white panel that was stamped with the Woven Plaid Background in Real Red and Ballet Blue inks. I think this Woven Plaid stamp is my favorite background stamp. It looks so much like real fabric and is super easy to use!  The Happy Fall Y'all was stamped in black on white, cut like a banner and layered on the same blue CS. I had the scarecrow brad in my stash and thought it would be perfect for this card. The main image was stamped in Memento black on white, colored with Copics, cut with a pendant die and layered on a scalloped pendant. Two small red brads were added to finish it off.

Be sure to check out the new releases at DRS Designs. Also there's still time to join in this week's Fall challenge at DRS Designs. We'd love to have you join us!

Thinking of you

Hope everyone is okay this morning after Superstorm Sandy, especially those of you on the east coast!

My card today is a Thanksgiving card created for my daughter and her new husband. Well, he'll be her husband by Thanksgiving. Their wedding is in less than 2 weeks!! We are super excited!

Last weekend I purchased this picket fence die and could hardly wait to try it out!  I stamped the Easy grass background stamp in Old Olive and then sponged some More Mustard and Antique Linen around the grass. I sponged Bashful Blue to create the sky, then stamped the sentiment in Memento Black. The October Pumpkin image was stamped in Memento black, colored with Copics, fussy cut and attached with pop dots. I added some green dew drops in the upper right hand corner to complete the look.

Challenges, challenges, challenges

Today I have two cards to share, both for challenges. This first one is for DRS Designs' Thursday challenge. This week we are to use Fall sentiments on our card.

My card base is pumpkin with a layer of green. On top of the green is a cream layer that was stamped with DRS Designs Maple Leaf in More Mustard, Pumpkin Pie, Cranberry Crisp and Old Olive. The sentiment was stamped in black on the same cream, then layered on the pumpkin CS before attaching it to the card. I added some tiny punched maple leaves and some cream ribbon to complete the look.

The second card is for Lesley's Merry Monday challenge. My card is loosely based on her sketch for this week. It has all the pieces, just not in the exact same places. :-)

The only stamping on this card is the Merry Christmas sentiment which is stamped in silver and embossed in silver. The base is white with a layer of blue and then a layer of white that was embossed with the CB snowflakes folder. Some blue ribbon and silver ric rac were added to the white layer before attaching it to the card. The tree is die cut with a new Cherry Lynn die that I just got at a stamping show in Cleveland. I think it is so pretty! I layered it on a circle cut with nesties and then embossed with the same folder. Some silver half pearls were added to the upper corner to finish it off.

There's still plenty of time to join in these two challenges!! Thanks for stopping by.

I stamped the vertical sentiment on white and layered it on black to finish it off.

You're So Sweet!

Wow, can you believe it's already October 15th? The month is half over. I'm thinking the time is going by way too quickly. Maybe that's because my daughter is getting married next month in Virginia and there"s still a bit to do!!

Today I have another Halloween card to share.

I found this glitter card stock at JoAnns and just had to get it. Boy is it ever messy! I had glitter everywhere - even on the poor dog!

The card base is basic white with a layer of the glitter orange. The Precious Pumpkins were stamped on white card stock, colored with Copics, fussy cut and layered on a strip of the black glitter paper that was punched with a border.  I added a strip of black velvet ribbon and tucked the You're So Sweet sentiment underneath to finish it off.

This week's challenge at DRS Designs is Witches. We'd love to have you join us! You can see the details here.

DRS Designs & Merry Monday Challenge

This week's challenge at DRS Designs is to use witches on your card. Here's my card for the challenge.

The image was stamped on not quite navy card stock with versafine ink and then embossed with detailed black embossing powder. I sponged in some white and yellow chalks for the moon and windows of the house. The backgrounds were created with the Spooky Eye background and the Eeek Background. The Happy Halloween was stamped in Memento Black on green, layered on black card stock that was punched with a spider web border. Some black ribbon was added to the right side to finish it off.

I hope you'll stop by DRS Designs and join in the Halloween fun. You could win some awesome new stamps!

I finally found some time to play in Lesley's Merry Monday challenge again.  Here's my card for this week's sketch challenge at Always Playing with Paper.

I stamped the giant poinsettia three times, colored them with copics and Spectrum Noir markers, cut them out and layered them with glue dots.  The sentiment was stamped on white, cut with nesties and layered on cranberry. I added three gold half pearls to the flower so I could also enter this in today's Ways To Use it Challenge at Splitcoast Stampers.

Wishing you a Spooky Halloween on Columbus Day!!

Hello Everyone,

My card today features a couple of DRS Designs newest Halloween stamps. They have some really cool new stamps!

The card base is purple with a layer of Bazzil grey which was stamped with the Tree Limb and the double deal Bats and Stars stamps. I stamped the tree limb vertically in Memento Black several times to look like trees, not a limb. The bats and stars were also stamped in Memento black. A strip of black card stock was punched with a fence border punch and attached to the base of the card. I added some purple ribbon to it first. The Run in Fear sentiment was stamped in black on gray and layered on a purple nestie square. Some bats were punched out of black card stock and added to the sentiment layer.

If you haven't joined in this week's challenge at DRS Designs, there's still time! This week's challenge is leaves. We'd love to have you play along.

Wishing you a SPOOKtacular Halloween

Happy Monday everyone.

This week's challenge at DRS Designs is to use a pun on your card. DRS Designs has some great sentiments that use puns! This card features one of my favorite Halloween puns.

My card base is black with a layer of orange that was stamped with the spooky eye background in Memento black. I punched a strip of black CS with Fiskars spider web border, added some black and orange gingham ribbon and then attached it to the bottom of the card. I used my bow easy to create the small bow on the left. The ghosts were stamped on white and cut out before attaching them to the card base. Some gogglie eyes were added to these not so scary ghosts. The sentiment was stamped on white with Memento black ink, cut into a rectangle and layered on some orange and black before attaching it to the card.

We would love to have you come join us with your "punny" cards this week. You could be the winner of some beautiful DRS Designs stamps. Come on over and check it out!!

Merry Monday Challenge

It's rainy and chilly here today, so I'm in the mood to create Christmas cards. :-)  The first one is for Lesley's Merry Monday Challenge.

The main image was stamped in Memento and colored with Copics, cut with nesties and layered on the green nestie. The card base is white with a layer of red that was embossed with the CB snowflake folder. A red, white and green ribbon was added before attaching it to the base. A bow made with my bow easy was added to the top. I think this Santa and Reindeer image is adorable!

My second card is a twisted fold card.

The card base is blue with layers of cranberry and white, embossed with the CB snowflake folder. The large Merry Christmas was stamped in black and cut and layered with oval nesties. The snow flake medallion was made with nesties too. This was a quick and easy card to create, once the folders and layers were done. It has a pocket inside for gift cards. Check out Splitcoast Stampers for info on how to create this one!

One More Candle?

Today I have a fun birthday card that features our new What's One More Candle sentiment!

My card base is blue with the Birthday Multi Greeting stamped in VersaFine Watermark ink. I stamped the Easy Dot Background in Blue and Green on white card stock, cut it into a strip and attached it to green card stock after punching a border on one edge. The Sentiment was stamped in Memento Black on white and cut with nesties. Some green ink was sponged around the circle before attaching it to the green circle. The Birthday Candle Burst was stamped in Memento black, colored with copics, fussy cut and attached to the dotted strip. I would say this was an easy card to make, but I'm just not patient enough  for cutting out all those candles!!

My Favorite Vegetable

Happy Monday! Today I have a fun card to share with you that features DRS Designs Favorite Vegie saying.

I started with an orange card base that I cut into the shape of candy corn. I stamped the Easy Dot background across the middle of the card in Versacolor Orange. After cutting a yellow piece to fit the bottom of the card, I stamped it with the Easy Candy Corn background in the same orange ink. I added some sparkly orange ric rac before attaching it to the card base. The white top was cut from card stock and embossed with the CB Swirls folder before attaching it to the card base. The sentiment was stamped in Memento black, cut with a nestie, and sponged with the same orange ink before adding a yellow layer and attaching it to the middle of the card. I love this sentiment and just had to try making a shaped card for it. I like the result. Hope you do too.

Sunflower Challenge at DRS Designs

Happy Thursday Everyone! Today's challenge at DRS Designs is to use sunflowers on your cards. I love sunflowers. They just scream fall to me and I am ready for fall! Here's the card I created.

The card base is a golden yellow with a pumpkin layer that was embossed with the CB Swiss dot folder. A yellow strip was added after punching both sides with an EK Success punch I found on clearance at JoAnns. I love finding bargains!! :-) A strip of the pumpkin paper was added to this after running it through the CB too. The images are from DRS Designs Framed Thanksgiving Greetings.  I stamped the image three times, cut out the various images, colored the sunflowers with some Copics, then added them to the card with pop dots. I like the clean and crisp look of this card.

This challenge runs all week, so come on over to DRS Designs and join in the fun. You could be the winner of some cute Halloween stamps!! Thanks for stopping by.

Until next time,

Birthday Wishes & Merry Monday Challenge

Happy Monday! Today I have a birthday card to share that features some new sentiments from DRS Designs.

My card base is red card stock with a layer of white that's been stamped with the Easy Dot Background Stamp in Memento Black and Real Red. A red and black gingham ribbon was added before attaching the white panel to the red card. The main image, Ladybug Stackup, was stamped in Memento black and colored with Copics. The vertical Birthday Wishes sentiment was stamped in Memento black along side the lady bugs. I used my square nestie to cut it out and then layered it on a scallop nestie square. The From All of Us sentiment was stamped in Memento Black, colored with Copics and cut with nesties. I also sponged some Real Red ink around the edges before attaching it to the card.

Hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by today. Be sure to check out this week's challenge to make cards featuring jungle animals!!

Here's a card I made for Lesley's Merry Monday Challenge #32. Lesley comes up with some cute sketches each Monday!

I used SU Dasher for the main image. I can't believe they've retired Dasher. He's one of my favorite stamps!! All dp is DCWV from my stash. I added some half pearls and embossed the beige panels with snowflakes and dots for some texture.  I am so happy to have a head start on my Christmas cards!!

Inspiration Challenge and Tuesday Alchemy Challenge

Today at Splitcoast Stampers the Inspiration Challenge took us to a site featuring French decor. Here's the card I created.

I created this Thank you card for a friend who hosted a small party for me last night to watch my son and family on House Hunters. We don't have cable, so my friend graciously hosted us there. We had a blast watching the show. It's really kind of weird seeing your kids on TV though!!

Anyway, the card base is a golden yellow with a blue layer embossed with a CB folder. A plaid ribbon was added before attaching the blue layer to the card base. The main image is DRS Designs Daisy Basket which was stamped in Memento Black, colored with Copics, cut with square nesties and layered on a yellow lacy square nestie. The Thank you is part of DRS Designs' Thanks for your Support and was stamped in black on a yellow label.

I love this basket of daisies stamp. It is just so pretty and you can color the daisies any color you want. I've used it quite a lot. It may be my favorite stamp!!

I'm also entering this in the Tuesday Alchemy challenge which is Anything Goes this week. You can see the challenge details here.

Thanks for stopping by.

Until next time,

Challenge #41 It's a Jungle Out There!! & Merry Monday Challenge 31

Hello. Today's challenge at DRS Designs is to use animals on your creations. I'm using a fairly new stamp from DRS Designs, King Lion and the Walk on the Wild Side birthday greeting.

The card base is rust colored card stock stamped with the Peacock Feather in Verafine Watermark. The same image is stamped on the green strip. The sentiment is stamped in Memento black on white and layered on the green. The King Lion image was stamped in Memento black, colored with copics, cut with nesties and layered on some rust card stock, then attached to the green strip. I really like the fall colors on this one.

Come on over to DRS Designs and play along this week. We'd love to have you join us!

This is my card for Lesley's Merry Monday Challenge #31.

The card base is real red cs with a layer of old olive embossed with a snowflake folder. The main image is Circle Christmoose, which is stamped in Memento black, colored with copics, cut and layered with nesties. A red strip was added after punching the edges with a snowflake punch. The white strip was embossed with the swiss dot folder. Some of the red punched snowflakes were added to the white, along with some half pearls.

Thinking of You

Happy Labor Day! Hope you all are having a good day and enjoying family and friends!

Today's card features a new sentiment from DRS Designs, Sitting Here Thinking of You and the Frog on a Log stamp. As soon as I saw this new sentiment, I knew I had to pair it up with this cute frog!

The card base is black with a white layer. I stamped the sentiment in Memento Black ink on the white panel before embossing it with the CB Swirls folder.  I added some yellow bakers twine and a white Bazzill button that was colored with a yellow Copic marker. The Frog on a Log image was stamped on white card stock with Memento black ink, colored with Copics, cut with a Nestie label die and layered on a black label. After attaching it to my card, some yellow dew drops were added to the black layer. Hope you like it.

This week's challenge at DRS Designs is to use ghosts and/or goblins. We'd love to have you join in the fun!!
